How do unlocks reflect reality? Does a would I get a visit from a Field Commander and tell me: "Ghostrider, you just killed your 15th enemy combatant, got a promotion and got a new unlock. Here you go."OriginalSnoozer wrote:2. How will unlocks "destroy" the mod? Some people will have them, some not. Isn't that to reflect reality? Since the PRMM dev team models the unlock weapons, they have full control over its possibilitites I guess.
I don't think it will destroy the Mod, BUT it could end up attracting people for the wrong reasons (unlocks instead of more realism) and after they get the "surprice! Unlocks aren't as important here!" then they will leave.
The loyal fans will stick to the Mod, regardless of updates or not. That said, we do need some updates. Maybe to start posting about things that have been completed (or almost completed) for version0.3?
Anyways, normally the best advertising has to be done by our own community. The community should spread the word around as well. How do you think good things sell themselves when threre's not as much official advertising as some1 would expect? When people like something, they go to their friends and say: "You should try PRMM online. I love it!"

PS: How do you think Halo, Metal Gear Solid, StarCraft (among others) sold so many copies?? The same applies to the Mod
