Yeah! And interviewing the commander, and he is nagging about one squad not building his Bunker or firebase or whatever.

Then a squadleader tells two guys to regroup with him, and they dont, and he gets really pissed. And the squadmembers is just trying to get more killz.

And they say like "Hold on squadleader, im gonna kill some dudzzzzz."

And then the squadleaders just say " aaa F**k it" then you hear his headset hitting the keyboard. and him walking away.


You could also interview, a fake mygot player.

In the end you just say, with a trailer movie voice from the Cinema "well sometimes, people dont follow orders, other times the enemy kills you, or a friend kills you. But if all else fails. Then you always know... You have, the JDAM" Huge explosion... Fade out.

i dont think PR needs any help with making a good trailer i mean look at the 0.6 trailer that kicked A$$! really intense and gave a heavy dream like feeling

Multiple trailers would definitely create a lot of hype (Especially each one having a different feeling to it). One could be humorous, perhaps a parody of some sort with trying VBF2 tactics in PR? Then perhaps a trailer for any new factions being added (U.S Army and any community factions being added) and then just your ordinary, badass showcase trailer.

The 0.6 trailer was good, but it was the same as the first TF2 trailer, it shows the game and in this case the maps, the teamwork, the action and the vehicles... yes, good... but nothing especial.

We need humor, we need parody, we need not only action, but A F*CKING ACTION! ... I hope you got what I meant.

maybe short videos showing each one a different or new asset ?

for example now that the stryker is on their way , maybe an small video of , lets say , some MEC soldiers walking/stalking by a street (EJOD comes to mind) and then syddently they got raped by gun fire coming from somewhere behind the camera (you dont see what just killed those mans) , then the camera turns and you see a stryker moving , unloading trops and advansing , overrunnung the camera , and the end .

or to introduce the deployable .50 , we see some brits preparing to attack a PLA bunker , then they star attacking , but when thry try to advance , they discover the .50 (it was hidden behind a rock or something) and get slaughater by it .


etc,etc .short videos(no more than 30-60 seconds) that make you think "damn, cant wait to try that"

Id like to see something like the US Army all picking up kitbags that have been requested in a big 'pile', then loading up on choppers and/or all piling in to the huge static cargo plane. Drive a few humvees into the cargo plane as well, start up some jets, and fade to black saying "Reinforcements have arrived" or something similar...

Humoristic video are nice but Battlefield Bad Company is Arcade and so are lot of FPS out there... PR is realistic. Do we really want more vBF2 clown on PR battlefields ?

Although, I agree on focusing on new features.

We should so do some sort of heavy metal, rock and roll number where a TON[64 players on US Army team] of army guys jump out of the static cargo plane way up in the air, even roll some humvees and strykers and APCs out for good measure, I dont care if its realistic or not, overlay some mad jet engine sounds and just make it the most badass thing ever.

Get some sweet shots of the humvees and armor tumbling in free fall, show some guys open their chutes and float on down into the darkness then..

fade to black...

Then simply say

They're here.

new people are new people. If they ask for the plane we simply say "its in there"

IMO since PR is trying to get as far away from the way people play BF2 have a video showing that. Show BF2 with all its players being smaktards, TK-ing, not listen to a thing the Comander or SL says and flying their Helis into walls or just doing the normal BF2 type things (being knob scoffs) then cut to PR and do some shots of a sniper team doing some impossibly good shot, then to a really good Black Hawk insertion into a 'Hot' area and other things like that, as well as anything that makes you think 'Teamwork' when you see it with every one communicating really well during the video.

Would make a good Promo video, plus it would attract people who want teamwork and communication in a game. Instead of bring some BF2 smacktards over who are in it for the better graphics/weapons.


EDIT - Just thought of a way to make fun of BF2 a little while promoting PR. Show a New player who just started after playing BF2, show him getting killed a lot either in any funny situation, have him complain/bitching about the fact the tactics he uses in BF2 aren't working. Make him sound like a complete idiot, then show the guy IRL getting up and walking out complaining about not being able to lone wolf or just the way we have teamwork or something like that (include a heap of puns about it) then zoom into the computer screen and show the PR screen

I like how bad company and team fortress 2 introduced their classes as characters and realy gave you a sense of the differant play styles they were also funny as hell and people actualy went out to watch
because anyone can look like a bad@SS on by showing replays but humor will actually lure new players
