Can't get into MEC APC when it's in water

As topic... I was playing on Jabal, and somebody left our APC (BTR90 was its name?) in the water at Dam's back, when we tried to enter it, we realized that it'll be impossible to do (just couldn't). I gave up after few minutes.

However, i checked today again and if you try to dive a bit (i.e. jump from any height near APC's doors) with pressed enter vehicle button you'll get in.

Searched & looked for 20 pages in this section and i didn't find anything about that.

Seems to me bug or not, it is appropriate.. I wouldnt think people would be opening doors on an APC while it was partially submerged for fear of swamping and sinking the vehicle.

But then in RL they'd just climb ontop of it and enter from the top. Sooooo since that's not doable in PR, just let them get in some other way. Sacrafices must be made when working with lame game engines

Wrong. I don't think they get out in the middle of a body of water.

Depends. What if the APC got stuck on something and they had to get out to check it out? Or hell, who even says they got out? Maybe they found a soldier in the water cuz the dumbass fell in and wanted to climb on? Point is, if for whatever reason a soldier was in the water and wanted in the APC, he'd just climb onto it and go in the top.

Hatches are for drivers and commanders only. Those are emergency purposes only if they have to, and emergencies don't happen alot in pr now do they?

Oh and how about entering the MBTs from the .50 cal hatch on top in PR, while in vBF2 you'd enter the tank through the front armor?




I just took a look at the BTR90 in the editor, seems that the entry points are on the lower side of the APC which is submerged when APC is in water. That might be the cause. Bug resolved, do I get a cookie?
