Currently the Linebacker is a pure AAV, and (IMO) a rather poor one compared to the MEC Tunguska.
Being a member of the Bradley family, does the Linebacker not also have space for several troops? If it were able to carry several infantry to battle, therefore doubling as an APC.
Additionally, normally AA kits are requestable only from Bunkers/FBs/Mains, giving the US the ability to request the AA kit from the Linebacker would further help to increase its usefulness.

Re: Transport positions for Linebacker
im assuming that because of all the equipment used of the AA system that troop capacity would be sacrificed?

Hence the question
Wiki and the googling i've done don't say.
Wiki does say it's going out of service though...

True, the Linebacker has reduced personnel carrying capabilities of 30%.Harrod200 wrote:Being a member of the Bradley family, does the Linebacker not also have space for several troops? If it were able to carry several infantry to battle, therefore doubling as an APC.
M2A3 Bradley's crew is 3 + 6 open seats = 9
In game, after balancing the stats, that'd mean having ca. 2-3 additional seats inside.

So both suggs fit realism, and it sure needs a boost in game...
If it were to have 4 seats, that'd be enough for a full squad to be transported in it, with AA kit request ability. Would make it much more useful in the field.

Re: Transport positions for Linebacker
I wonder if draining ammo from the vehicle while requesting the AA kit would be possible - that way we could have 'two' AA kits. The main AA kit requestable at the base only (more ammo) and 'Rifleman AA' requestable at AAVs/APCs.

Do the AAV and the infantry AA have the same range in game?
If brute force doesn't work.......your not using enough of it.

Re: Transport positions for Linebacker
Linebacker is not going out of service, it IS out of service and has been for a couple of years. Its days in PR are numbered as soon as we can model and get the bugs out of a replacement. As stated in the News section, the M2A2 Bradley IFV model from USI is going to be in the next update. Therefore, this suggestion is moot. Locked.
