Yeah I feel the same way, but it is FPS dependant, and some factions weapons are easier to use when suppressed then others.

for example, ive noticed that the british susat is VERY easy to use while suppressed, its point raticle works well.

but then again some players are just better, and usually get lucky headshots when they are suppressed.

Anyway, the trick to supresssion is that once im aiming at u and ur trying to supress me, i can still shoot u because i was already pointing at u, but if they turn and shoot u under supressed fire, then thats shady business.

Not the visual effect, but back when I played it I remember that when you were being suppressed, your aim wouldn't be as good as when you weren't.

I honestly depsise the effect because I to feel that it only happens to me, which is the most aggrivating/annoying thing about PR to me right now.

The problem is, if you hit the person they dont get the suppression effect, which kinda sucks. Say if you are prone/defending, and some guy runs around the corner, he's going to immediately go prone and/or fire around you to get you suppressed, while you hit him (maybe once or twice) and he will not get suppressed. And then there are cases where you think you are suppressing them, and they headshot you, which also sucks.

Sorry but AlienWare PCs suck they are grosely over priced and have bad GFX cards anyway mostly more for looks then killer machines for Gameing.

I have the fallowing specs:

8800GTS 512MB
Vista 64bit
4GB DDR2 Memory

My supression for one bullet is about 2 seconds per shot. The problem for me is when a guy starts to just wall at me with his SAW or LMG and I can't even see to shoot much less when I do shoot (We are both standing still, and lieing down, and both in IS mode BTW) My weapon misses him complete even the first shot misses, but all of his SAW rounds on fully automatic kill me with a head shot at over 2200 yards.

Needless to say I called him out for aim bots and I got the boot from the server. (Stupid Admin called me a lier because he was his kid) So I jumped on another server and another same story every time you get suppressed that you can't hit ****.

Suppression effect doesnt stop their bullets being lethal or accurate, it blurs their vision and stops active aiming. If you saw the guy before the effect you can just keep firing where you saw him.

If I was firing an AK, its not accurate anyway so I keep on and one of those bullets is going to hit hopefully. Whether you move position or not is still more important then if a bullet lands close to you

Its so obvious when someone does it. But then again, they 'win' knowing it is a false 'victory', and thier achievements void.
It is a mere sign of weakness and they are denying themselves the full potential of PR.

I HIGHLY doubt your problem lies in your hardware. Honestly I think it has to do with your playing style. for example, you said you were firing your AK in FULL AUTO, well thats the problem, the AK is totally useless in full auto, it fires such a big round, the gun jumps like crazy in full auto. Had you had it in single shot, and popped 2 rounds in the guys head he would have been finished. And im sure his suppression effects were working, but you were so close and firing off so many rounds that he was able to still see you. As for the 50 cal, in PR it is usually mounted to a heavy vehicle, thus it has little deviation so its more or less an automatic sniper rifle. Atleast that is the way it was made in PR. So like i said, im sure most peoples suppression effects are working, and i dont think its your hardware thats the problem.

Why do people that unlock the fps are chaeters? If i had PC for the 200+ FPS i surely prefer having this number of fps, than just locked it on 100...
Blame DEVs for this problem not users with good PCs... The only solution i see is too make a timer-based supression effect, but then again, it sounds like "hard coded"

I see a lot of "Me Me Me" in this thread.What happened to your squad mates while you were being suppressed?Did they give covering fire?Or were you a lone wolf on a vanilla mission?

exactly, theres more of other people than you (if that makes sense) in other words, the chances of some 1 getting a lucky shot on u when suppressed is hight than u getting a lucky shot on some 1 else.

Scary thing is for example I have this problem as I’ve got an average system till the new one is bought later in the year… and I still own in most rounds. So if they are getting round it and still getting killed by myself they must be dam poor players.

I love the effect but it has to be the same for everyone…..why should a player have a advantage over me if its nothing to do with skill……

It's terrible isn't it - it feel too almost all the time that I am the only one being affected by the suppression effect when I start showering the enemy with bullets and the target just turns and headshots me at 100m+ .... gahh
The suppression effect should make your aim jump, making accuracy impossible under fire...that would be a true suppressive effect. If receiving incoming made your deviation wild rather than made you blind like it does now, things would so much less frustrating. Damn you BF2 engine!

maby he was hacking? w while back on BA basharah (SP?) and he was running at us with his AK and are 2 apcs and challenger were firing all we had at him then he calualy jumped on the tank while being hit with 30mm HEI-T and coax from the skimmy, casualy threw a molitive in the hach and we died?
