I dont know if this is what you are doing, and have checked the list and think it is a good idea.
COuld you just reskin the breachable blockers(that are shotgunnable) and put them across doorways as doors. I think this would be an easy solution to the useless shotgun.
But i am probably wrong......

Re: Doors idea
Maps are limited to a maximum of 1024 networkable (Destructible) objects. And mappers want to keep the number as low as possible to increase performance. So, as much as this is a good idea, it probably won't be possible unfortunately. Imagine all those doors on an urban map

eddie: the MoD aren't just going to start blurring their faces so they look 'well ard' are they?

Re: Doors idea
this wont happen for a few reasons
Each one would have to be placed individually to suit each doorway, and aligned correctly.
Each one counts towards a networkable object and as pride pointed out we are limited to 1024, within that 1024 are all of the rally points, command/firebase/bunker/sandbag/AAA/razorwire, vehicles and destructable structures ( all of which need to be made up of individual pieces for each damage state ie. one for full health one for destroyed ) its also worth pointing out that at close to 700 of these networkable objects the map behaves very strangely ( crashes etc.)
add to that that'd they'd have to get skinned and have enough variation to match particular buildings and surroundings ( Mec/Militia/Insurg/Chinese )
as you can see way to much effort for the gain

Smeg: Fuzz commands a lot and promotes good teamwork, db flips vehicles, Bosco is an all-round nub, Outlawz is an SP whore, Nickbond is a friggin ninja and Rhino gets kicked for being a n00b.
