hey ladies and gentlemen greetings from good old europe.

and hey PR-Crew, you did fantastic work! you can be proud for your creation! I like it, but....

I discovered your art 2-3 months ago - so I played PR some hours and i love to play sniper. But I have the feeling you dislike snipers, so I stopped playing your mod.

my critics:

I:
you are unrealistic with the waiting time for your kits. it takes my game-fun. you overact with the 5 minutes waiting time for sniper kit. I am waiting and then somebody was faster and for what i waited 5 minutes ;) Don´t forget its only a game. When u want to be so realistic, after first dying the soldier should wait for the next round- greetings to counterstrike (note: i played cs for a short time ;)

II:
the limitation of kits is a can be, 2 sniper kits for 32 men are hard for sniper lovers. Maybe max 5 snipers per team for the future?

my idea for the future:

one sniper squad per team with max 5 people. snipers can only work in the sniper squad. the same spawn time like for others.
in the other squads can be only one marksman for support.


Better ideas, write us ;)

I forgot one thing:

I dont wrote only for sniper fans like me. I wrote because its unfair, that some can play and some must wait for their favourite kit after you bite the ground (we suppose all kits are free).

Fact: For the game-fun of all players its in the moment unfair. Wish for justice ;) Same kit-spawn-time for all kits.

There is no 'waiting' time to get the kit in the first place, there is a waiting time before you can request another kit.

For the rest, PR isn't about sniping and being stealth and 1337, and 5 Sniper kits per team would be a total waste

I disagree on both points, Sniper rifle is awesomely powerful and useful in the right hands. Single Sniper can hold whole squad pinned and fuck up assaults or defences of bigger groups. 5minutes respawn is not too long though in publics it does give headache when you wait for it 5mins and then someone else takes it.

Looking that 1 sniper can keep whole squad pinned, I don't even want to imagine what it would feel like to have 5 of those fuckers zoomed on me.

if you like being a sniper that much you should check out wookies mod ;)
Theyre not going to change it becouse 1 guys wants it in his style.

You can just grab another kit that suits your squad better?
It rarely takes my game-fun, when waiting at a strongpoint for 10-20 even 30 minutes without a single gook showing up. There's alot more fun than sniping in PR, if that takes all of your game-fun, why not just go back and play vanilla BF2? 8-)

You know, we should have sniper and special operations Community Mods so that people don't beg for this stuff to be in the main game.

Exactly. Take out the kit on regular maps and make maps for it, but someone actually is going to have do it...

For now, i think 2 sniper kits are enough. I mean, 5 sniper kits per team? Out of 32 players? Thats just way too much. And the waiting time is just when you lost the kit, so for a class thats supposed to survive very long, i think its fine.

nope, because there are only 32 players max, that leaves 27, on commander = 26, thats 4 full squads and 2 lonely guys....and we all know what that leads to.

afaik snipers do work in teams of two IRL

Anyway the the threadmaker, if you consider yourself a sniper, shouldn't you have a little more patience in you? 5 minutes is 0.00000001& of the time of which some snipers probably spend getting ONE kill.

For those of you saying you only wait to get a new kit, that's wrong. Kits have a 'respawn' time before you can pick it up from a base. Thats when you get the "Not available" message. Just to clear things up. As for the idea, while I myself would like more sniper kits since I never seem to get any, it'd prolly screw up balance, so eh.

Maybe you could just remove the "spawn time" for the kit, so it can be taken the user dies. There'd still only ever be 2 snipers on the battlefield, and it'd allow more people to use it.

DM? I'm assuming that's the Marksman. I'm not sure about other people, but I can't stand using Marksman. Most factions have HORRID scopes on their rifles, and this includes Marksman rifles. The Brits have that elongated triangle, the MEC have arrows, can't remember the Chinese or Americans. But as far as I know, ALL factions have the same sniper scope, the traditional + shape. And I soooo much prefer those, easier to aim with those. That's why I prefer using the sniper rifle over marksman.

meh, i dont get this idea..but only thing id like to see is spec ops get the ghillie suit :D Admit, it looks effin 1337.

Yeah it looks l337 till you get over 10 feet away and the draw distance kicks in lol.
If brute force doesn't work.......your not using enough of it.

for someone whos ays they love sniping i dont supose you would truely understand how it works. this is a teamwork mod, you wanna go sniper crazy go find some other game. go pwn the noobs in CS with ur auto snipe no scope pwning powers.

and good point some snipers spend weeks on end sitting in a muddy hole simply to see their target and be denied permission to shoot

well yeah, but there are a select few amongst our number who use the sniper rifle properly, infact some are demigods of the sniper rifle.
How? they do recon as well has taking down targets of oppotunity.

so...50% of the sniper's job is done by the spec ops kit....so there are 4 kits capable of doing at least half, if not more of the snipzors job :D so mathematically there are 3 sniper kits :D
