Re: Too many deaths!!!!!
I got two ideas.
1. Make it that you gain 100 point for each 5 minutes that you are alive, so if you are alive for 2 minutes you get no points at all but if you menage to stay alive for 5 minutes you gain points. However it could be exploited but since that points do nothing but "encourage" players it don't really matter.
2. You lose points depending on how long you were alive.
Time alive | Points lost at death.
1s-30s | 0
30s-5m | 5
5m-10m | 2
10m-1h | 1
Or something similar.

Re: Too many deaths!!!!!
what if you have a 1 minute respawn time if u want to spawn at a firebase...30sec respawn time for a bunker and instant or 15 sec for main base. and eleminate or only alow 1 respawn from rally every 5minutes or so....
i think some varition of the above would make life more valuable.

By removing the kill count, people would be less concerned with their Kill/Death ratio and would care more about sticking together and teamwork. Not requesting the kit that gets you more kills (ie Marksman, H-AT, etc.) Less lonewolfers, less people going around doing their own thing, trying to get kills; more people working together and wanting to win the round.typical skeleton wrote:how would removing the kill count make people less careless about dying? I don't get it. all that would do is make people less concerned with their score, atleast in the "running count" sense.
Sure it might not make them care any less about dying, but it will make them feel that going Rambo is going to add "nothing" to their kill count, thus making them feel like they accomplished little going off and trying to kill people.
Plus it is realistic, because the only way you should be able to confirm a kill is by standing directly over their dead body, simple as that.

Agreed with that. Altough I never mind my kill death ratio in this game ( This game is about tactics and teamwork ) but you can see some guys do.

Re: Too many deaths!!!!!
Is there any good in-game reason to even have the scoreboard? It would be great IMO if the scoreboard were completely removed, or at the least only show the names of people on each side, maybe only showing the live/dead status of your team; show the entire enemy team as dead or alive all the time.ReaperMAC wrote:By removing the kill count, people would be less concerned with their Kill/Death ratio and would care more about sticking together and teamwork. Re: Too many deaths!!!!!
How about if the kills are removed... and the number of deaths remain?
Sure its pessimistic, but it would prevent such tactics due to public ridicule of how much that person is FAILING.

Re: Too many deaths!!!!!
It kinda feels strange if you would remove the entire scoreboard. I do check it to see if my squad members are dead or alive. And when you had a round as a gunner or riflemen its nice to see you did good

Re: Too many deaths!!!!!
The last few years I've seen the scoreboard as teamplay's worst enemy.typical skeleton wrote:all that would do is make people less concerned with their score
That's a good idea.BloodAce wrote:we all notice that players who have special kits like HAT or sniper are playing more careful and its because they afraid to lose the special kit!
So what if all requestable kits were available only from Main and Bunker/Firebase? It would make them think double before they go RAMBO with automatic rifleman kit next time.
I believe it could change game style of many players and also make PR even it more realistic and challenging.
