Some new vehicles and equipment for the USMC...

Post by Cerberus »

AAV-7A1
CH-53
UH-1N
AV-8 Harrier II
M240G
Mk19

And if possible, would it be possible to have certain maps where special operations units would be able to fight (Force Recon, Detachment One, SAS)

Yeah, but the LAV-25 is overused in ATM, the AAV-7A1 is actually meant to transport alot of troops. The CH-53 is used more often than a damn Seahawk for helo transportion. They also need a attack jet (AV- 8) . I guess they could just use a slightly different skin compared to the Brit one.

not really, you could just force everyone into one kit class, by that i mean the mapper can choose what classes show up on the spawn screen, so realy if you made them all SF, they would all have the same gun and equipment. Would be cool for a night map, or a paratroop map.

Theyve already confirmed the CH-53 will be in, the Harrier and M240 have already been modeled an skinned both are in media section (harrier might need a new skin but thats about it), AAV7 an Huey would be nice, i think well see the Huey eventually not sure about the Amtrac

The F-35 hasnt reached active duty yet, therefore it would be unrealistic to include it in now.

The AAV-7A1 can carry alot more troops than an LAV-25, which is more like a scout vehicle.

And I was browsing through the media earlier today and saw the model for the MH-53

I think the AT-4 should be implimented.
Shoud be bit stronger than an grenade, used for anti-infantry/light vehicles.
Give it to assult?

Also the A-10 :) A-10 > TANK

Well, right now I'm talking about the Marines, who do not use the A-10. I would, however, like to see the A-10 added (for close air support, obviously).

The AT-4 should be added, I believe, but I think the kit should be randomized somehow so about 1/4 of the riflemen have one.

Do i need to point out you are in the Project Reality fourms...

The USMC dont have the SAS, nor anythink like it. I dont like the fact that the special forces gangs might make there way into PR as i hate little super soldiers...

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Do I look like a dumbass?

I am aware that the Marines do not have the SAS and that they indeed do have something like it and it is called DETACHMENT ONE and it will soon be made up of 2,700 men (it's got about 86 at the moment)

You completely missed what i meant so the answer to your question is; Yes.

Look, realise and analise.

You said they dont use the A-10 and then you went on to say how you would like to see them 'added'.

I was jokeing about the Dumbass bit but so next time you must read it properly. Its a common mistake.

SAS are the BEST and if this Detachment One is comeing up they eather need to be lab built soldiers or trained by the SAS to be as good.

They used A-10s in Operation desert strom, I think they used them in Operation Iraqi freedom aswell (would make sense) for CAS.

I would love to see an A-10 ingame. Droping cluster bombs and other nifty bombs ;)

And by "currently", I meant during the invasion of Iraq in 2003

The A-10 is very well capable of providing CAS, its one of its main roles. The AirForce provides CAS for all allied ground troops, including the marines, but of course its not the only plane that can do so.

Are we all on the same planet?

I am confuzed, the USMC is a seperate group under control of the navy so the A-10 ultimately cannot be implemented if this mod is to retain realisum.

That is, until/if the US army is added.
