Poor Model quality, 2142, Armoured Fury, 2142 patches and a depleating communtiy. £50 says DICE is out of profit by 2007.
I bet you anything that since they are just started 2142 they are in the brainstorming phase of their next BF franchise, Battlefield.... IN SPACE!

I have opened up a topic on the EAUK forum that keeps track of the 2?! new patches.
There are 2 new patches underway 1.22(hotfix for the hotfix?) and 1.3(which is for AF).

Dice or EA?
I am sure that once EA signed Dice and started BF2, EA was all over Dice's rear about deadlines. As far as the current patch fiasco; limited resources, splitting the manpower between multiple projects, and constant complaints from the gaming community probably don't help. Just my two cents.

2 tries? this is arround abouts therte 6th to make the game even worse and they are sucseeding....AznLB wrote:Well, 1.3 is the patch intended to preceed Armored Fury. This 1.22 sounds more like, as previously stated, a hotfix for a hotfix.
You'd think after two tries EA would get it right, I guess not.

horray for diceAznLB wrote:Haha, I mean of the "1.2..." series.
If I'm not mistaken this is the seventh patch released for BF2, and the 3rd released within a month-and-a-half period.
what is the actual fix list
they are probably fixing it because of my angry emails to their non replying support team.
i woulder how many they have had from annoyed customers??
Harrod200:"Fire.exe has committed an illegal operation and has been shut down"
Raniak : "Warning: May crash if fired upon."
M4sherman: "like peter pan but with tanks"
[R-MOD]Eddiereyes909 (on sim tower) "It truly was the game of my childhood and has led to me getting my degree in industrial engineering."

Hey Guys,
Please... let's keep a good vibe on these forums. If you want to ***** about EA, there's lots of forums out there for that.
These forums are for constructively bitching about Project Reality
Please don't put us in a position where we have to start moderating these forums... it takes away from working on the mod. And generally I don't want to sift through dozens of posts of bitching to try and see if there is any useful information for the PR team.
Thanks for your co-operation!

Personally i think although bf2 was an amdittly messed up game no game when it first comes out is a 100% perfect so what if BF2 was more messed up than most games at least they come with patches to it instead of dumping it and making a new game. Which admittly they are doing but they will stick with BF2 until patch 1.3 which shows quite a bit of loyalty on EA's part espically since most of the people who would have bought BF2 already have. Quite frankly i'm surpised they still are supporting BF2 with patches. So don;t complain about patches be thankful you have them even with their flaws the game would be more flawed without these patches. I know you are going to come up with "oh but what about the crazy AA" ectr posts. Quite frankly who cares they reilzed there mistake and at least attemped to fix it. They are trying to make BF2 into what you want it to be. They have failed so far at least in your minds beacuse of your ricdously high expections. Humans are inpeferct they don;t always succed at what they do and for a game after only .2 version updates this game is very stable and well done. Which is more than you can say for other games.
(Please excuse my spelling and the length of post had to get my feelings out there.)

Strange how I can dislike a company and game engine so bad, yet keep playing their product. PR is what keept me from trashing BF2, thanks God for it.'[R-PUB wrote:BrokenArrow']We don't want PR to fall into disfavor with EA (or DICE Azn). So as egg said, keep it civil.
Look at it this way: BF2 allows us to have our doses of PR.![]()
DICE may suck, but just wanna thank you guys for paying attention to us and making a great mod.
Trogdor, mistakes are inevitable, however doing it twice is ignorance.
