if you want me leaving pr:
offer me a game that is developing and being tested over a period of eehhm...is it 3 years? and still is getting improved in gameplay and inventory of weapons, assets, maps, gamemodi, with each patch. a game where so much community and feedback but first of all so much dedication and work from its developers lives in.

They're not comparable in any way to be honest. However you could say is anyone going to be leaving PR for Operation Flashpoint 2? It's shaping up to be the mother of all commercial "reality" combat sims.

How is a realistic mod possible with a superpower nanosuit FPS ?/ASF/.Venom wrote:only read to page 3, but there are realism mods out there for Crysis already, basing dmg on calibre and also accuracy, and the AI tweaks are great if you play it on delta.. there is also a European mod coming out soon lol, basing some maps in Euro landscapes, with Euro vegitation. Also there are graphical tweaks, removing the unrealistic sun, improving overall graphical property and also improving FPS..
Just gota look people
But PR being a MP mod, with Australian Players (Crysis MP is THE WORST EVER) im getting both![]()

^He aint wrong. Also OPF 2 may do, but I still think PR is epic on the epicness scale and it will take a lot for it to take me away from it.

Anti Aliasing - If you have a small resolution it makes lines less jagged and pixely.

Operation flashpoint 2 allready has one bad thing going for it: it is made by codemasters and not BI. Expect gameplay closer to vbf2 than operation flashpoint. Though I think they are going to do real time destructable buildings which would be amazing. I was pissed at the "trailer" they released for it and how it showed nothing about the game.Danolboy wrote:They're not comparable in any way to be honest. I never got to play armed assault as it did not run smoothly on my computer no matter what I did. Armed assault 2 should be awesome except for the fact that they are already not doing real time destructable buildings.
For the general thread: Crysis and far cry 2 are benchmarks, not so much games. They are reported to be extremely difficult to mod on and would not make good engines for pr in the first place.

Well since every time I even mention Crysis my computer makes a little pop up that says 'O N0es!' and the goes the the Blue Screen of Death...I think I'll stay with PR.
I did a test on the AMD site in their 'Can I Run It?' section and asked it if I could run Crysis...it just laughed at me through my speakers and closed the window.

Re: Will crysis pull you away from PR?
i cant run it on my laptop but my friend hooked my up on his super PC. and the over all game just blows me away with all thay you can do. i was clear cuting a banna tree farm. with an saw. even the bushes and little things do get hit in a fire fight. so like in real life you can louse your cover. unlike in the BF2 ware the bush and trees live no mater what. and seem to stop AT rounds. and it really does have an good balance in looks and game play. and i can see it as a good platforms for an PR2. and i like the idea of leveling a city in a battle or add least really destroy builds. sure sure there are some PR maps ware you can do it some what but most of the building do nothing wen you hit them.
after all were not going to see BF.BC on PC.

Re: Will crysis pull you away from PR?
To me there are 2 general approaches to game design these days: 1) make them with fancy top-notch graphics and state of the art technological features, or 2) design them not so much with graphics in mind but in terms of what would be fun to play.
Games like crysis and UT3 fall into the first category, PR in the second.

Personally, my favorite part of crysis is going into the sandbox and creating ridiculous chain reactions with the physics.

Agreed, PR is in a league all it's own.[R-PUB]MAINERROR wrote:"Nightstalkers Don't Quit" and now a little bit modified "PR Players Don't Quit"
So I wont play another game.
It's better to keep your mouth shut, and be thought an idiot, than to open it and prove it...
Dude, I will punch you in the face until you blackout! Move the *uck out!
