Yes my map crashes at 15% aka objects. So I created a blank map and copied over each individual file until I found which one was causing the crash. As I suspected it is the staticObjects.con file.
So I was just wondering if there are any known bugged statics in PR that would cause this, or a limit on destructible objects because my map is mainly made up of these red-roofed buildings...

Try running your bf2 in windows mode, this will generate a crash window and post up the text. Most times it will tell you which static is crashing

I had one of those bugs. Luckily I had a good back up.

It would not show in the debug either.
15 percent sounds like the overgrowth file.

run a lightmap on one object too... I cant remember but theres a certain problem that goes along with a crash at the %...at or near it...

turnpipe, i think youre right. If all else fails, delete your over/undergrowth and try loading it. Then start your under/overgrowth over again.
Try backing up one, deleting it, then if it doesnt fix it put it back in, then delete the other growth folder and try without that. Find the one that needs removal and go from there.

sorry, after reading through again I realized I missed some important stuff... sorry, its late here...
some bugged statics I have come across are some things from the village walls type statics.. I forget exactly what they are under, but they normally crash my editor...
also, it might be those walls.
and ALSO, i THINK those buildings are not included in pr. In some way or another... I have them in my editor, but when I loaded up ingame, the houses didnt show up...

I think i remember lightmapping that map and finding the buildings in their destroyed form...yeah those things are not finished statics.

HA! I figured it out. For anyone who cares, out of all the destroyable red-roofed houses in the 'hous_dest' set of statics the only ones that will crash a map are 'barn_dest_pt1' and 'barn_dest_pt2'.
