When I join a squad sometimes I am placed right below the squad leader, and sometimes in the middle and sometimes at the bottom of the list. I guess the importance is, if and when the SL leaves the squad, SM number 2takes over.
My questions are:
1. How does PR stack the squad, alphabetically, by rank, the time you joined the game or what?
2. Ok SL = Squad Leader, but is SM = Squad Mates? I have seen SM used throughout the forums, and somehow I know it is the players within a squad that are not the SL, but I really dont know what it stands for!
3. Can a SL move the order around in "Manage Squads" It would be nice if the SL could appoint a new SL if leaving, through SM placement. This would stop the "squad fallout" when remaining SM's are leaving and rejoining the squad because they do not want to be the SL.

I think it's done via score, but am not sure. Anyhow, am pretty sure it's the Bf2 engine doing the sorting. The SM stands for Squad Member as far as I know, but Squadmate isn't exactly far from the truth. I don't think squads are manageable in that way...limit to the Bf2 engine?

This is important in vBF2 clanplay. Almost all teams exploit this to have 2 spawnpoints.Drake wrote:Hold tab to bring up scoreboard. Right click to activate mouse and left click on "manage". Notice how all players got a number behind their nick. The player with lowest number in squad will become new SL when SL leaves the squad.
If the server has just been restarted, first player to join get number 0, second number 1 and so on...When a new player joins the server, he ALWAYS gets the number of the last player who left.
It works this way in vBF2 and as squads are hardcoded, most likely same way in PR.
