I kinda like this one. Anyone read "Recoil" by Andy McNab? :razz:

I'd be willing to help out with weapon modelling - though I'd probably need some help from my modelling idol Z - if you could wait for me to finish up some other projects. AK versions can be made from my AK-74M.

I dont think optics should be so frequent though.
I think that instead of optics, the rifleman (and those that would posses a x4) should just have a more accurate rifle, like a more recent AK weapon.

The Marksman should have an AK with a x4 and the Sniper with the SVD.

I wanna see lots of rolled up sleeves, berrets and darked out shades ;)

...mongol...
Only kits that have scopes: Officer, Marksman, Sniper.

Officer = AK74 Scoped
Marksman = SIG SG542 Scoped
Sniper = SVD

Thanks for the flags, Pride :D

Yeah, I will probably change it. Nothing to code at this moment. Can you import? Might be handy later.

For reference and request of information you can go here: REQ: African militaries - Military Photos

If you are going to use a folding-stock AK, make the AKMS, as it is imho much better looking then the old AK-47S :) I would realy like to see a FAL, but i guess that is more common in former British colonies, althouh it is quite common all over the continent. I am learning to model (i have made a deacent FAMAS and a shitty Tokarev) so if you need anything simple made just holler.

Ref of a Congolese soilder (dont know if he's from Congo-Brazzaville or The Democratic Republic of the Congo but guessing the latter) He along with alot of the guys in the Youtube video seems to be wearing an Israeli made combat vest, so maybe you can contact the community-mod people?:

Brummy has the .5 claymore files now, so no one needs to download .5 anymore.

But I can rename a map correctly if you wanted a copy of an existing map to edit that you could use alongside the original map.
Nah, I have a pr_edit 'version' of PR. Includes modified OGT + Qwai and the DRC.

Brummy, I believe the Anti Air class is classed as Anti Air rather than Rifleman AA, so he would have a AKS-74 like the Anti Tank

I have only ever seen the AK-74 (and it's variants) in the hands of Angolan Commandos (as seen on the first page in the link), don't you think the AKM and the AKMS are more suited and realistic then the AK-74? And to not sound too bitchy: this faction is going to be great no matter what you deside to do :)

Angolan Commandos!? These are Congolese soldiers.

Anyway, we'd like to use AK-74s for:

1. Variation
2. We've got sources saying that AK-74s are used in the Africa Region
3. AKM + AKMS would give it a Militia/Insurgency icon that we don't want.

Lol. It's not modified, I just added in Congo instead of Brits. Just for the testing.

Only thing I might change is the LMG.. I must admit that I havent researched this much but judging from the screenshots I've seen here, the RPK is the only LMG I've seen.

Also that weapon needs to be reintroduced in PR imho :)
