Why did you go AK47 and why does it need to be made from scratch??

Yer. Don't know if we will make Airmaps, so not sure about the Hind.

AK47s are used way more, realism ftw :( . Anyway, ever looked at a real AK and at the BF2 model?

ah nvm, and least they won't play like the insurgents and militia

though i have to agree 110% on the AK model, does need some TLC

and are you hoping for some animation to have the flip bayonet stabby?

Yeah was just wondering, but if we get other maps and vehicles and player models done quick, can we has vBF2 one as placeholder?

New design plan is much better.

Adds more uniformity to the faction, rather than the jumble of AKs, SIGs and PKMs it was before.

Hehe :P posted nearly an identical post a few pages back :D

Although we discovered that the AK problem might be taken care of. I'll let Brummy do the talking when he wakes up again.

Jump on a vehicle, mate :D

BMP-1
MI-35
EE-9

Thanks ;) They're not very simple though. The AK models are being taken care of.

When remodelling the AK47 (wonderful idea, btw. The vBF2-model is awful) why not do the AKM instead? Judging from the pictures it's widely used in the DRC and it would also give them a slightly more organized feel.

Image

The only real difference seen from the outside is the compensator at the end of the barrel. This makes it easier to control in when firing in fully-automatic then the original AK47. Wouldn't be that hard to base the regular AK-47 (for insurgents and militia), the AKS-47 and the AKM on the same model (or am I wrong? I don't know anything about modelling).

Nope AKMs are generally used in Eastern Countries which produce it themselves. It would not be hard, but currently we have some problems with the AK.

Well, I guess its more likely that they would join up with the Chinese or MEC for obvious reasons
