small stuff

Post by SGT.JOKER »

Ok...I dont really like to make suggestions becaus I'm never sure if they've been suggested before or not, so if any of these have been suggested please lock this.

These are some small suggestions that arent to important but I though they might imerse people into the game a little bit more

The 1st one is for planes and choppers, now keep in mind Im in no way a pilot and dont know if this is already in game. So heres the suggestion, it was inspired while flying in bfv, now for those of you who played bfv you may have noticed that when flying in those choppers you can hear radio chatter. Could this be put into the choppers/planes in PR?

#2 is for the bunkers, now while playing the other day me and my squad took out an enemy bunker, when we approached it (it was still in the stage of being able to be rebuilt) one of squad members said he heard an enemy RP, the noise was acctually coming from the enemy bunker which was already destroyed. Could this sound be taken away unless the bunkers been built? and even then could it be changed to some realistic type radio chatter since theres the epic "fisher price" radio inside?

#3: Well after watching some TV shows documenting certin battles and what not that have happend in iraq, some of them (us soldiers) said during the fighting or before the fighting, I forget exactly, that they heard some one speaking in arabic talking over a mega phone or sound speaker of some kind, this made me also think about how in bfv they had the destructable mega phones with the US radio staion or the "vc *****" talking over them and they could be heard for quite a distance. This suggestion is for on insurgency maps (specifically ones with mosques) that maybe near these mosques somthing simmilar could be figured out and placed there, not going on for the entire map though just at random times

Again these are some VERY small/unimportant suggestions and if theyve been suggested before please lock

definatly good

more ambient sounds around the place are good

also i think some need a bit of a fix, was playing Bi Ming a while ago and it was all quiet, i took a step to the right or something then BAM! all of a sudden there was very very loud jungle noises, take a step back left, all quiet again.

Just connect that megaphone to a squaddie's mic, then we'd have some fun

Lol, that was me. I was just sitting there after we cleared it out saying "Anybody else hear that RP radio sound?"

I figure it was a bug. But I'd like to see a bit more interesting radio chatter in bunkers, considering they've got the larger radio.

Helicopters should get some chatter, but not too much (it fits for jets when you have nothing to listen to) because when you're in a chopper with open doors, the sound is dissipated and there are more important things you need to hear sometimes.

I'd like to hear some regularly scheduled 'Mosque chatter' every now and then; Don't they broadcast the prayers over loudspeakers?

We need the radio chatter from Generation Kill in the humvees :)

http://www.hbo.com/generationkill/ You can hear some of it on their website.

If you can figure out how to do that, it means you can crack the VOIP system and everyone will love you.

That third suggestion is interesting. I believe there is this one person who calls from a tall tower to the denizens below to pray.

But, would this still be practiced in war time? Maybe . . .

From what I saw and according to 1st hand accounts its happend, apparently during the fighting when it happens the insurgents would actually stop fighting and pray and the marines had to wait (I believe thats what they said) this of course wouldnt happen ingame but I think it would help imerse a player into the environment and game

I can see it now, insurgents standing up "Time out man, we've gotta pray."

Wow, that must be a sight. Some dedication. Good of the troops to respect their beliefs.

Maybe when the sound plays in-game, penalties for killing during that time are given out? Not sure if it's possible, but it would add a little more realism in-game.

That could end badly, depending on where on the map you are, how close to that sound begins playing when you shoot that sucker in the head, and how boring it would be for that amount of time when people these days want to keep the action going.

I think that it'd be GREAT as an amplified ambient sound at a random time during the map, if possible, but not as a pause in the game.

Thats what I was thinking, maybe every 10 - 20 minutes through out the round?
