Help using Fraps

Post by ralfidude »

I have downlaoded and tried, but i need to ask, is it possible to get fraps to record for longer than 30 sec? I dont want to buy.... and its the only program that records, besides WeGame which lags up my screen everytime i hit record, yet fraps doesnt lag me a bit. Anybody know a diff prgram? (free offcourse, i mean im a college student, i dont want to pay for anything)

Better edit your post before a mod see that.

Anyway, xfire can record gameplay since a while. I didn't try it but I'm guessing it's a nice free alternative ?

open your google and search for what you need. dont think that anybody here gives you tips how to hack a proggy. think the admins say bye bye to the user who does this.

So plz 10 min google and you have what you want, even for fraps... ;-)

Xfire's video capture has been very much improved in its newest version, IMO its far better than FRAPS.

Greetings! This is BK201 from the Help Team for WeGame. I was cruising the net and came across your post here. Since I'm a fan of BF2 as well, I was wondering if I could possibly help you figure out why WeGame is lagging up your computer when you try to record. Does this happen only when running the Project Reality Mod (which is awesome by the way) or does it happen in other games as well?

In addition to this what operating system are you using and do you have any other programs running in the background when you're trying to record? Sometimes running FRAPs or xFire or Steam in the background can interfere with WeGame and cause massive slow downs. Also if you're already experiencing lag, then WeGame isn't going to help reduce that at all. Finally, if you have VSync enabled that might really slow it down. I would try turning it off and seeing if that helps.

Let me know if anything I listed above helps you. I'm going to experiment with the game and see if I can produce the lag issue you're experiencing. Hopefully we can help make WeGame work for you :D

Well BK201 i just got the full version of FRAPS i will let u know if thats runnign right. But i have stopped my AVAST, and ANY backround programs runnign when i activate WeGame. I also turned the recording settings to normal (basic) not HD. Not too many other setting i could change. I am using a 32 bit XP, but a very basic chip, intel 4 at over 3GHz. Just recently got a 9800GTX so my graphics card is not the problem either.

In addition i have not tried running other games with wegame, i will give it another shot, but if FRAPS is not lagging up things then il just use that for the time being. Not very familiar with Vsync, so not sure what or where or who with that, sry, lol.
