I've given a good long look into these forums to see if this has been suggested already and came up blank, so if it has, please forgive me.
First off, kudos for giving the engineer the choice between 00buck and slugs (although it does question reality that he can switch between them without loading in the proper rounds... i guess that is beyond the scope of BF2's engine though)!
When dealing with a shotgun that is single shell reload (all armies vanilla Engineer weapon, except MEC), is it possible to make it so you have to press the reload button once for every shell you put in? I ask, because I have died many a time in BF2 when my shotgun is low and I press reload coming upon someone, and I sit there reloading EVERY SINGLE SHELL, meanwhile I'm getting filled with bullets. Maybe I shouldn't let my shells get that low, or maybe I'm just too used to other war games that make you press reload for each shell (Raven Shield, for example). Either way, I thought I'd throw the idea out there.

I like it. Not sure if its entirely do-able. If it was, may be fun.

America was a tad late into the First World War. They redeemed themself's and came in slightly sooner in the Second. Now they seem determined to start the Third.

I like the idea of pressing "r" for every shell. or just like have it like CSS where u can open up fire 1/2 way throguh a relaod and it stops the realoading.
As the the buck and slug shots. The way PR has got these in is by making 2 diffrent shot guns, basicly a copy and paste of the oringal, then chaining the ammo type and give the engineer both to praticly say, hes got 2 types of rounds. The BF2 engien wont let you have 2 diffrent rounds like buck and shot for 1 shotgun.... so the way it is at the mo will have to stay unless the BF2 engien suddnly becomes much more friendly.

ive never had this problem, i always reload after every round, and ive only played the eng class for no more hten an hour all together. but i could imagine being in a firefight, having to reload, hiding behind a corner and having the enemy advance on you, and you already have 3 in the gun and you realllly need to use it.
id like to see pressing the fire button stops the reload animation.
