Smoke trails behind weapons

Like the sraw and eryx, the smoke trail totally give you away when you fire it. That plus the audiable warning the armor gets (if you fire directly at it) makes it easy for the tanker or apc to counter attack you if you are far away before they get hit, or atleast mess up your lock on the guidance.

Can the trail be thinned out or removed? Or speed up the rocket?

trick is to fire at the tank, when his back is to you. I know RPGs hve trails, but not sure about the others....

Thats obvious but many rocket propelled projectiles dont make a contrail or travel at a speed high enough where you dont have time to find it and then dodge it.

The AT missles in PR are slow.

Yes, they are WAAY too slow. They need to travel like twice as fast. Then a smoke trail wouldn't mean much ... but still, the smoke trail should evaporate a bit faster, so you can't trace the at rounds as well.

The anti-tank weapons in Project Reality ATM was way too slow. I saw a vid of an RPG passing a reporter in slow motion and you could barely see it at all.

26 seconds in this video, it shows a Javelin firing. Pretty cool. No smoke trail ^_^, but there's awesome looking backblast, which I'd like to see in PR if possible

yes back blast should be added. Watch any video of an RPG or AT4 being fired and its sounds like an explosion and with serious back blast strong enough to knock people over.

America's Army has alot of backblast.

And if you've ever read about the Special Forces operations in Panama, you'd know about the Panamanian (sp?!) commander who literally got his head blown off when he was standing behind a soldier's RPG-7

lol ive seen a vid from the iran/iraq war where a dude gets thrown by the blast of an rpg being fired.

Yes, speed up the rockets please. They are slower than real-life. There are old videos showing SRAW being fired by a Marine, and it starts off sluggish, but oh yes does it pick up speed in no time. :)

Id say keep the smoke trail, but make it look less like a line of pure smoke, and more like a fine trail of fog, that wisps away after a second.

Yeah make it fly faster but keep the smoke trail but let it disapear faster :)
