Post by Tacticsniper815 »

Hey you know the sights you put on the MP7? think you could make an M4 with those holographic sights as well?

"both eyes open advantage" ive only looked through a red dot sight once, but how do these work with both eyes open? it just seems weird to me.

EOTech is in more common use with helo pilots, IIRC.

Aimpoints are used on the M4 that infantry and spec ops forces use

Well maybe you could make the M4A1 aimpoint realistic by making it show the front sights through the aimpoint and maybe make one with a vertical foregrip on the bottom rails

its not that its not realistic as is, even in vanilla BF2, they use dot sights and ACOGs all the time, its just you'll almost never see a civilian (even a gun nut like me) with one because for one, they are about $400 USD each

I have one mounted on my M4. I'll post a pic as soon as I figure out how.

all I said was to make the front sights appear through the aimpoint as you look through it like it does in real life. Don't belive me? Look at this. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 16&pl=true

OH and add a foregrip I said that too

That video shows just how poorly the sight in BF2 really is. There's no three-dimensional feel to it at all, just a perfectly still red dot with an invisible lens around it.

i hate how they did 2D iron sights, i mean come on! games previous to BF2 have 3D iron sights (brothers in arms) POE! on BFV had them! but nope, EA cheaped out on us. i mean i know they made BF2 for people who had never played a first perso shooter before, but what harm would realistic sights do?

Yeah, it's kinda funny how the 2D iron-sights in BF2 were a big step-up for the franchise, considering before everything just did the generic "zoom-in" like the shotguns do now...

I do not understand EA, i dont want to belive that they are lazy sods who should be giving a good smaking by the gaming community but little things like this are always appearing - WHY. Yu join the game developiong industry becuase you love games and you want to porduce brilliant gmaes that are superior in every way to last years one - but EA's are not superior in EVERy way , they are better in 5 big ways but worse in 20 ways!!!!

Why EA why............are you really lazy mother f*****s.

Eh? Me and almost all of my buddies have some kind of optic, either an M68 (aimpoint), the trijicon reflex, or the Eotech.

I personally like the eotech over the M68. The army issued me one and i've been hooked every since.

And with the both eyes open thing, I forgot how it works. But you can set it to both eyes open, or one eye open, it depends on how you zero your weapon. But once it's zeroed, all you have to do is put the dot on the target and squeeze the trigger.
