WAM Hornet
How about this as a replacement to the ancient AT mines used in game now? The mines in game now are really for a mine field and not how they are used in game as is. Give each Combat Engineer one Hornet AT mine. Now that is an AT mine. This would be nice in PR... Check it out.

so is it just a big bomb, cluster munitions packed in a mine, or automatically shoots off a rocket when a tank gets near (looks big enough for a rocket)?

it does not roll, as far as i know
what hornet does is simple, it stays on the ground on deployed mode, and using it's sensors it waits for incoming enemy tanks. Once an enemy vehicle comes into range, the hornet classifies it based on the information available, selects the optimal target aim it's warhead and launches a shaped explosive charge above the target.
Once it reaches above the target, the explosive charge detonates and cause a deformation on the penetrator disc it carries, shaping the penetrator disc into a bullet form travelling at supersonic speed straight into the target's weakest armour, the top side. Kill is achieved by pure kinetic energy.
hornet warhead detonating above the target and achieving kill: (the hornet is the little thing on the bottom right with wires)

PS: hornet can be set to complete autonomous operation in which case it will simply wait for as long as it's internal power can hold and classify, targets, and destroy any enemy failing IFF signature check.

wow... considering how hard it is to get an enemy tank to run over the current at mine, this would be good, to say the least. there would have to be a way to balance it tho, so people dont go around dropping it as soon as a tank comes rolling up the road. maybe make it so that the it takes 15-30 seconds to arm it? what do ya'll think?

honestly though, can u imagine what will happen if 3 engineers set a net of this thing? Any armour that comes near it will be perforated with tungsten penetrator.
On the other hand, it does mean that infantry have to sweep the area and clear it. (Hornet rely quite a bit on ground vibration sensors if i recall right, which prevents it from deployed on rooftop, etc.)

wow that is so cool, i cant stop saying that hehe
if we had mines like this i wouldnt mind them being visable as our current ones are so enemy engs could disable it safely.
the effective range of these would have to be cut down though, too powerful if they were effective at 100 meters, i think we would need something along the same lines but effective at oh say.... 20 meters? maybe 50 at the most.

This would be some awesome for Project Reality. Armor would actually need infantry support, and armor would have to stay back a wee bit behind the infantry and support them. That was kind of redundant...
Engineer class:
Assault Rifle (M16A4, AK-74, L85) 3 + 1 mags
Anti-tank mine
Satchel charge (able to be detonated)
What would the MEC use for their AT mine?
