zip lines

Post by Garmax »

i'm sorry if this has been already suggested.. but i was looking through some old stuff and ran into BF2: SP and yeah as you guessed it.. (from the title)

the zip line.. no this isnt about fast roping from choppers like millions of people suggest daily. but about the zip line which is like a crossbow type thing.. you know.

any way it would be very helpful and inteded for special forces kits or snipers in specific maps. ones that include many buildings and the hassle of having to walk down the stairs or up the stairs just to find the friggin claymore played right there when you climb up.

once again sorry if this has already been suggested. but it would be alot usefull for spotters anipers and special forces kits in those needs to get somewhere easily and fast..

i'm not too sure if this is very "realistic" but these sort of things DO exist. so why not add them in..

While it was fun for a time in SF, I don't think it's "realistic". Seems a tad to arcade like to me.

ok first of all it takes much more than 10 seconds to setup a zip line with a cross bow, a zipline must be properly tentioned, otherwise the line will sag as you cross and your hanging over the street 2 stories up and kids are trying to hit you with sticks till candy falls out of ur butt.

2nd soldiers do not use ziplines other than for crossing rivers, ravines and other obstacles of that sort.

3rd most ziplines used are setup before hand. otherwise soldiers take like 20 minutes for one guy to cross the river, tie the line, guy on this side tensions the line, and then realise it's not gonna work because the line is higher on the side they want to get to, then they realise they managed to get one guy across to set it up why not just cross like he did?

4th In reality soldiers/Marines dont use ziplines at all. Wtf are you talking about? :29_slaps:

Sorry, mate, but, as the others have pointed out, this just isn't realistic.

So, yes, it gets the lock. ;)
