The way it works now is semi good, you revive the soldier and he can then move by himself into a more secure area to be healed. It would be better if he couldn't see that well after being revived (to slow him down and make his fire less accurate).

How will the new downed soldier work in 0.8? There was a thread about it but I can't find it.
Seem to remember that the downed period was prolonged with a possible opt out function.
Here's the thread: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f245-j ... amics.html

Also, after being revived, the soldier will be in the black-and-white vision state, and in this state, running isn't possible, thus making sure the revived soldier gets medical attention. This makes covering fire a little more important, or the weakened soldier could "limp" to a safe spot.

Will unconventional forces even have the Resuscitate function, or will it have some chance of reviving the soldier?

Can't wait. For all those complaining about the procedure and AED and such. This is still the most realistic way i can think of for reviving a critically wounded soldier. A combat medic is there to provide emergency first aid on the front line yes?. Carrying a defibrillator is too unrealistic. In vehicles yes , carried by medics no. Also there a thousands of first aid emergency's on the front line were all the patients are not unconscious and a defib is not needed. For example the patient could have bad shrapnel wounds to the legs and is unable to move. Since this can't be done simulating the patient is unconscious makes the this new revive procedure much more realistic than shocking a shrapnel wound patient with a defibrillator. The EpiPen could also simulate morphine in a situation like i have described. So for the thousands of situations a combat medic could find him or herself in, the CPR, Epipen, Medic Bag procedure is the best.

Ok, but I hope the wounded soldier is not slowed down completely.

Could the suppression effect and a slow down be applied instead to sort of emulate that the soldier is dragged into a safe place. The medic and the revived soldier will be exposed enough as it is. I don't see it as that realistic for a medic to lay down in the open reviving and healing for quite some time, even if there's cover fire or smoke.

M68 aimpoint (red dot), no magnification. US Army M4s will have ether a m68 or ACOGs on all weapons as per RL. check the US Army update in news.

Actually, crewman and HAT, maybe some other kit too, keep the ironsights afaik. And this only counts for the M4's because they are less accurate than their enemies rifles.

i just hope the Compressions can only be administered while kneeling
wouldn't make sense to lie prone and do it, would it?

(I think I will still throw the field dressing for it will heal the person additionally)

Hmmm... an interesting thought just popped into my mind, check out this idea:

What if a medic could use the needle to not only revive teammates, but instantly heal any in dire need of healing. It could be used when you simply don't have the time to heal traditionally but need to help out a teammate. On the flip side, you're wasting a possible revive you may need later.

It could create an interesting dynamic if such was able to be done. Of course, there's always the possibility it would become abused, and healing bags would become obsolete.

The Epipen is an adrenaline shot, and in NO WAY is it a healing device. It simply gets the soldier up off the ground for a second to get to cover so he can be healed.

The epipen doesn't remove bullets, afterall.

what i think about the new pr medic system is that it will be more of an profession than a person that is not good at being a medic

Is there anyone else who thinks that: getting blown by a tank round; or shot 5 times
then be be "revived" and "walk away" a few minutes later is "somewhat"
unrealistic? Great work and all but please think about it.
Sorry if this was mentioned here already,I did not read throe the entire thread.

I think getting hit by a tank will get you killed, not wounded (unless you are far enough from the explosion). Same probably goes for absorbing too many bullets.
