no scoped in prone movement

Post by Conman51 »

all weapons shlould be like the dewployed mg when in prone..you should not be able to move around in prone while you have a rifle up to your face only use your mouse to view in one direction because to move around on teh ground you need to use your arms and hands...but while you have a rifle zoomed in all u can use to lift the front part of your body are your elbows..so it should be made that you have to un scope the rifle to turn around or move your body left right and forward..i think they have my idea in cod4..but i havent played it for a while so idk

I support this. No scopes when moving.

I support it, just wonder if PR/vBF2 can pull it off. Although I think this has been mentioned before and liked. :P

That actually gets quite nauseating, heheh. We'd have people throwing up all over their comps.

Speaking from experience[not throwing up, but yeah...] :P

If the engine doesn't allow restricted movement while prone-scoped, then it still seems possible to make the crosshairs do a sort of jerky figure eight. Seems like it could be done enough to make it impossible to hit a target but not enough to make a man sick to his stomach.

Or just make it so bad that you can't stand it and just unscope manually. :D

Is it possible to have 2 movements speeds in every stance or just the standing one? Would be nice to have a fast crawl after which you needed longer to raise your weapon or a slower edging forward with a quicker sighting-in time.

Very good idea, though, i'd think thats one of these impossible things. Otherwise i wouldnt know why the devs didnt do it already.

The BF2 engine has a nasty habit of "Doing it for one thing, it happens to everything". If you have a disorientating animation playing while prone and moving, you're also gonna get it while standing and crouching. Initially I did have that, except it was pulled out because you lost the ability to surpress (or lay down semi-effective fire) while on the move.

i would love for the person to have no scope view when moving prone and have to pull his gun to the side to crawl around and when stopped go to the scoped view again..
