Getting away from the noobs

Post by Craz3y|Assasin »

It seems to me that most players on the fourms are good, disiplined, tactical players, who are not noobs, and want a clean game. So I thought why dont we just have a locked server with the code in the fourms so that if anyone wants to get away from the tkers and noobs they can just go play on that server.

But dont say you can find it in the fourms and the server thing.

[got the idea from lexur's thread about what do you hate most, and most people's repiles where players]

its a nice idea, and would be great to have, but no doubt some of the naughtier player will find the pw and then get on the server.

if it can happen, im all for it.

You must have had some bad experiences, because i don´t have a problem with new ppl i can´t even remember when someone TKed me on purpose.
All the new guys i played with where very reasonable and grateful for every help they got!

bad idea, doing this will stop the income of players. We should greet them warmly and let them adapt. I know many of you (and someone who has posted in this thread) that started out as a "noob" and was somewhat uneducated in tactics and what to do in combat.

Just join a squad with people you know or have had good experiences with = know the names and join the squad.

Clans have servers for their own, tactical gameplay and of course there is the PR tournament.

A passworded server with the password here at the forums would quickly attract some destructive idiots.

well most players are great plyers.. and i'm a great player i must say. but there are days that im not doin so hot and days i completely suck.

noobs should just let the squad leader know their a noob and the sq can deal with them and teach them around.. they an givem them cannon fodder positions.. haha but in the scenario the squad is going on a tank raid give the noob the 50 cal gunner position instead of the tank turret and or driver..

You should rename the thread to idiots instead of noobs. It's not the newbies that's a problem, we've all been once. The problem is that no matter what fault or mistake someone makes, he's a noob. I once said in 1942 that my comp was overheating = "noob" or to be more precise "nooooooooooooooooooooooooooob"

Craz3y|assasin Teamkills me

We have this debate every few months on the forums here... generally the feeling is that new players (newbs) should be taken under player's wings and taught how to play PR well rather than being shut out of a 'special server' for 'special players'.

As for n00bs who act like idiots and kick up a fuss, TK etc - just play on a well-admin'd server where such players are kicked and/or banned very very quickly.

"Did they say what he's angry about?" asked Annette Mitchell, 77, of the district, stranded after seeing a double feature of "Piranha 3D" and "The Last Exorcism." - Washington Post

I must say I rarely have issues especially around the times I play (eveningish). During early afternoon u get one too many lone wolfes though.

Just had a great game on Kashan as a CO with squads following orders and also making suggestions I felt like I really had an impact on a close game. (and boy is a close game on kashan a drag.

Want to escape n00bs? I'm afaid you can't...they are everywhere

They are in your computer, probably in your house and definitely outside :D

But if you really want to you can arrange some multiclan matches :D

All we need is commanders and squadleaders who knows what their doing.

Then the grunts can follow their example, if the CO, or SL is not doing as they should. You get an undiciplined squad.

I thought about starting a server with ultra stict rules such as
Dont fire upon anyone unless told, warn, warn, kick. this is a greyzone wince most leaders wont call it out, but if a sl reports anyone they should be warned/kicked.
Dont squadlead/co withouth exp. warn, kick
You dont use at rounds towards inf, exept insurgents. kick
Everyone must have voip warn, kick
Dont solo tanks kick
Teamkills ban
destruction of own assets/rallys/bunkers etc permban.
1337 behaviour, kick/ban
Refuse orders. warn, kick.
Lonewolfing warn, kick

Etc etc

I thought password protected is stupid, those passes wont change often and alot of noobs will get the hand on them, so why dont make it a server with 16 open slots (so new players can try it out, they will be kicked if they do anything wrong) and the rest of those seats are reserved.

To get on that reserved list you need to apply for it, and if you break the rules to many times. Youre out.

Anyone up for this?
