Why is China and MEC are treated that stepmotherly?

With all the new stuff coming in .8, I was wondering why only UK/US - Factions are getting new stuff. Besides the scoped rifles for china/mec, there is still the vanilla vehicles ingame. Same Jets, same tanks, same APCs, same choppers. Ok MEC got the froggfoot, but besides that US/UK-Faction are getting all the attention. So why is that?

Especially with regard to the tournament this can be a big disadvantge for CATA.

And BTW: have you guys seen some lately footage of e.g. rebbels fighting (which seems to be some kind of militia ingame) in Chechnya? Partly they are equiped with up-to-date weapons e.g. the HK grenademaschinegun and so on.

MEC got the G3 before the US got their M16A4.
China got their QBZ-95 before the US got their M16A4, they were the only faction that had a scoped Grenadier kit, too.

Only fair that US/UK now get the counterparts.

And regarding vehicles: US/UK aren't really getting 'all the new stuff', Brits got new vehicles because there were none ingame before, and the US Army gets some new because the ones needed weren't there either..

The HK Grenade Machine Gun is not realy a "up-to-date" weapon, its used since Vietnam war... If they where using HK416 now we can talk about up-to-date weapon

Nope, the US Mk-19 has been used since the Vietnam war. The H&K GMG was introduced in the late 90s/early 00s to compete with it.

i talked to a guy who fought in the russian army in chechnya. he said the equipment they have is basically the same as the russian army has as they have been the same in the past. the major difference is the chechens lost their heavy assets quickly. but infantry gear is almost the same. also they had a TOW equivalent in plenty amounts -but pls dont give to much about this info, i wouldnt like the pr militia faction so much if they had all the fancy stuff...

p.s. later i asked him if the chechens had a command post, but he didnt knew what im talking about..

Yep, the Su-30 from vBF2 is the counterpart of the tornado IIRC what Rhino said in the Tornado topic.

Btw, I can't agree when it comes to MEC. The PLA uses almost only vBF2-stuff. Looks nice that they will get the Type 07 camo though, and I'm looking forward to the Type 99 MBT and VN3 vehicle (to replace the Nanjing).
Now about them using American grenades, L96 sniper rifles and SA7s...

i think that its pretty tough to get good reference photos for chinese vehicles, alot of them are not well known. take the PLA attack chopper for example, theres very few photos of it, and i think the vBF2 model is actually a Eurocopter tiger. this makes it tough to make new vehicles for the PLA faction. as for MEC, well they are fictional, and to update something like tanks and APCs takes a really long time and lets face it not every model DICE made was bad i kinda like the t90 and btr90
