what about adding India in later versions?
they have the 3rd largest military in the world but never appeared in any game before

it would even fit with the BF2 storyline because if pakistan joined the MEC they would have enough power to take kashmir (or India would be afraid to have a big hostile as neighbour)


India uses some modified russian equipment like BMPs, T90s and Tunguskas but they also have their own stuff like the Arjun, Vijayanta and INSAS Rifle

THere is nothing orgianl about there weapons.
ALl american equiptment is home grown and different to the rest of the world.
The MEC team is from a completely different culture with many hand me down russian weapons.
THe Chinese represent another powerfull modern nation (similar to germany, britain,russia) but also have a completely different culture to the other 2 as well as developing many of their own weapons.

This makes for midly interesting gameplay but adding a nation that 's weapons systems are barley known about and who culture is similar to MEc is boring.
THE only reason the British get a team is becuase all most all their weapons are home grown and there are no RUSSIAN SPIN OFF, even though they have a considerably smalled army than the indians!

india sounds boring. if we have to add an ally, make it israel (although i would much rather see another enemy, playing as MEC and China gets stale)

I personally agree that Israel is a legitimate addition to the mod. They have a lot of original weapons/vehicles and also some variants on the weapons that the US had provided them. In addition, I would assume them to be conflicting with the MEC (as we would assume that the MEC would be mostly arabic - I wouldn't expect the Israelis to join the arabs ever lol).

I believe there was already a thread that addressed the addition of the IDF. I cast my vote for them.

As for India, I agree with Top Cat in that they are not necessarily an acknowledged military power, and that most of their weapons and vehicles are those developed by the soviets, etc. I see how you would develop the conflict with Pakistan and all, but I just don't believe it has a defining reason to allow the DEV team to spend a lot of time to add them.

And make some chinese maps that revolve around city fighting instead of open areas filled with tanks and attack choppers. I believe that most of the chinese east coast (the most likely attack route for an american invasion) consists of build up areas, which I do not find any off in the official chinese maps.
