WWIII

Post by Naruto-kun »

as it seems to me, it is a world of conflict out here in this mod, just thinking, in later patches(when the Community mods are done etc) what if you evolved this mod from a realistic BF2 into a fictional WWIII mod?

just thinking(been Playing alot of "World in Conflict" the last days)that it would be cool of we got this mod to escalate a war Between the NATO countries VS Russia, MEC and China.

what's your opinion???

Er, isn't that what we have now?

PR is sensitive to politics and stories - especially EA. PR does not have a backstory - you're a soldier on a battlefield, and you can only win or lose. Period.

NATO countries VS Russia, MEC and China.

yeah..........thats PR mate, all that's missing is tactical nukes and they would kinda ruin gameplay...

Russia is coming in a community mod which I think you know, but am unaware if they will fight NATO

WiC is indeed a good game tho

Nawww, only because we never want to have any kinda story. The game is just that a game. :-P stories only hinder us to make any kinda game we want.

A storyline would only limit us to what we could do with maps, assets etc. There is no need for a storyline, and the mod is better without one, period.

ehhh, since BF3 will be using a completely different engine, our stuff will not be directly compatible no. Who says we are even planning on working on BF3? :p

This is called Project 'Reality'.

If you had an understanding of politics and economics you'd understand that is a very unlikely scenario.

Yeah, world wars don't start like that; I think they happen when a bloke called Archie Duke shoots an ostrich 'cause he was hungry.

lol! Nice scene that is.

heres the scene on youtube:

YouTube - Blackadder on WWI

Ontopic:
I agree. A story would only limit the options like the important people said.

World in Conflict is a great game though!

war makes money, whats unrealistic about it?

but still no keep PR story as is...non existent. just give like a short individual story to the maps like they allready do, a vague story that doesnt even bother to touch why they're fighting there other than it's of tactical importance
