Re: [Question]Terrain.con File
if you want to change any .con file by hand use any text editor, like notepad thou I personally use the crimson editor.
Thou you don't really need to edit the file by hand apart from if your making a 4km^2 map or some other thing, but for normal mapping, best just to let the bf2 editor edit it.

Re: [Question]Terrain.con File
you already tweaked this file to suit 4km maps as i can see...all you have to do is save it .
if you open your map again in the editor the tweaked file will be overwritten again so before testing it ingame you will again have to edit your terrain.con

Re: [Question]Terrain.con File
If you look closer at the file, those lines are inside an if statement, and are only run in the editor. To see their effect in game (and it might not be visible in the editor), you'll need to open up the editor and resave compiled terrain, to get it to update the terraindata file. And if you're doing that, you might as well just change them in the editor rather than messing around manually editing it.turnpipe wrote:Thanks for your replies.

Re: [Question]Terrain.con File
its far easier to change thous settings in the terrain editor, then you can see the effects as you change them
