Helicopters for PLA/MEC

Post by Cpt.Kawakowitsch »

I was just wondering about the fact, that there is only one transport heli and one attack heli of for PLA/MEC, while US/UK have a bunch of choppers and they will even get more.

US/UK:

Merlin
Transport LB
Attack LB (Minigun)
Attack LB (Rockets)
Transport Huey
Attack Huey (Rockets)
Transport BH
Chinook
Cobra
Apache
kind of a chopper - V-22 Osprey
and someone is modelling the CH-53 I read a few days ago

PLA/MEC:

Havoc
WZ-10
Z-8
MEC transport chopper (don't know the name. It looks like a Mi-17(1))
China Chopper on Qwai (looks like kind of a SA 360, but it can't be because the SA 360 is a 2+8/10 seater and I couldn't find a version IRL with machineguns - and ingame this chopper flys kind of ****)
MEC Chopper on Kashan (don't know what this is, maybe a BO-xxx something)

As i stated in another thread PLA/MEC is a bit behind on the equipment side even if these factions are getting a few new rifles. IMO they need some fast transport choppers. For PLA I would suggest the SA 360:

DAUPHIN 2 (AEROSPATIALE)

This chopper can be used as transport or kind of attack chopper like the huey.

For MEC I can't really imagine a transport chopper, as this faction consists out of a lot of countries. Maybe the Ka-60.

Ka-60 "Kasatka" / Ka-62

MEC should have a lot of money, so they could easily effort any transport helicopter.

Maybe this can be considered by the devs in a future release.

It's a very good point. They may not see those exact helicopters that you mentioned above, but giving them more assets is definitely on the list.

That'll be the Chinese Dauphin rip off then, as theres no confirmed navalized version of the Ka-60.

Oh, and WTB lynx.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

I think the MI 35 should be MEC transport/assaulat,like the LB. There is one already modeled from bf2 Special Forces

Oh yes a Hind which is an attack chopper and transport at the same time will be a perfect Littlebird counter-part.

KA-50 is ready

https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f66-pr ... -50-a.html

I get a hard on just looking at it.

It is available for sale IRL. so if MEC use Mi-28 its only logical that they would
buy the Ka-50/52 in the "near" future where PR/bf2 is set

Hey, leave something for Russian forces to fly, comrade.

If violence isn't the answer, then you obviously need more violence.

Now now, I'm sure you can share like big boys! :p

By the way, alot of the stuff mentioned in the OP like the V-22 and the Chinook are quite likely to never make it in game, unless we get some massive maps where they can be justified/Dice change it so we can get more then 8 $^%$^ing people in a vehicle (and more then 6 in a squad and 64 in a server while their at it!).

I'd like to see the BF2:SF MI-35 or the USI MI-25 also.
