oh.
you mean that chart was the settling time for leading enemies after you've been moving yourself? i though it was static targets you were talking about.
and don't remind me of the heavy at in 0.7, i still don't use it cause of bad memories.

The information presented was taken from the perspective of having the weapon already fully deployed while in the prone position. Then proceeding to wait for a target moving perpendicular (directly across the screen) to the sniper to stop moving in order to take the shot.
Taking data for attempting to headshot someone at 300 meters after a prone dive is out of the question. Prone diving sniping is never going to happen. I couldn't imagine someone trying to fire a sniper rifle from a standing or knelt position either after moving either.
Being prone and awaiting for your target is what it's about. Find a good spot and survey the area... Location, location, location.

If you play sniper role in v0.75 as primarily a recon and rarely fire your weapon, only when you absolutely must, then I think you will enjoy the changes in v0.8 alot.

i'd hafta agree with warren that ingame, sniping officers arnt that important, but no if someone says killing officers is important they're not drunk watching enemy at the gates. IRL officers are important as the more you kill the more they have to start promoting less and less experienced people to take their place, as well efficient officers make themselves like a role model figure to their subordinates there fore killing them would destroy the troops's morale. so infact they are only misjudging the situation on the terms that the importance of an officer is not what you would expect them to be.
now of course the "officer" in PR is not really the type of officer you're looking for, in PR squadleader's are probably say sargeant to say warrant officer, not that important. the officers sniper's should be looking for are lieutenants and above, commanding officers not the Non commisioned.

I've out sniped players like XxPenguinxx, SoaNe, Pavel, Lenny, Matatron, and more. I don't mean that to come off as cocky but it probably will. snipers are best in SF squads.
Me and my buddy are always a sniper team and he is one hell of a shot.
if you play PR and say "WTF i cant hit shiet broken kit lal"
This kit is the most complicated of all, there is a techinque to all of them. (maybe they are all the same on the spread sheet, but with lag, and server and all that in play you gotta have a techniuqe)
anyway we scout a lot and usually hang out at unguarded control point behind enemy lines. thats where you will find your self getting kills (matters what map too)
just remember, you are no longer taking shots every 2 seconds.
