did you not read what one of the devs said at the begining of this thread :evil:


anyway, i think every one needs to know who is team killing so they can notify admins if they are not present and also avoid that player in the future

Yup, that's a very good idea. Then you'd be able to integrate that into server TK code too which would be awesome.

That wouldn't work, because all the "specialized" teamkillers disconnect after teamkilling so admin can't ban them and they don't suffer any in-game punishments.
This would only work for the average Joe Idiot who TKs people because he's too stupid to request a kit on his own or similar, but would mostly just screw up all accidental TKs, where a moron drives over your mine or someone runs under your tank/APC and you get a TK.

There is no doubt about it ! Tkers are getting worse and worse. With idiots that make videos of themselves ruining every body elses fun and those that are just plain old sociopaths.

A solution needs to be found. Though I do not agree with the thred starters idea I am very pleased to see that some one has the courage to engage the subject and even if the origanl idea is not the answer we are looking for by discussing the matter we are bound to stumble accross the solution or at least inspire some one else to come up with the solution.

PR is a very strong community and it is my belief that it is down to this community to report any videos that are posted up (youtube etc...) and hand in all screen shots of smacktarding of any description.

Maybe we could have a PR community MP force with direct links to even balance/PunkBuster. I know that we have the smacktard list how ever it would be nice to have a department and admin/governing body at realitymod that will deal with these issues that we the gamers/admins come accross.

The main reason is to make PR more realistic - you got rid of enemy killing notification, so why not team-killing notification too?
Uh no, the tker's don't do for attention, they do it to piss people off and regardless of any "turn the cheek"/ignore method that would come from removing the TK indication, they know they are still pissing people off, and they know without the indication they can get away with more TKs without people cottoning on.

Example: You get one of those vengeful little turds who decides because he's getting his arse kicked, he's going to swap over to the other team and TK the team who's been stomping him, just so in his eye's he has his revenge. Taking away the notification doesn't do anything but allow him to do this for a longer period of time without players noticing.

Sorry bud i have to agree with others, it really is a needed notification for admins.

Punished TK's...not regular , 'I C4'd an enemy firebase and killed 3 guys too close in my squad sorry' TK's.

Accidents happen. People run in front of fast-moving vehicles, they jump out out of them, vehicles crash, people run in front of other people's field of fire, they run into a building after you shout "GRENADE!" and lob one in there...

A TK is a TK sure, but a TK isn't necessarily an awful thing. FF happens. If it was an accident, respawn, and tell 'em off if they didn't say sorry.

The OP's idea is certainly novel, but the general concensus of admins is that seeing the TKs is a useful tool.

The devs did plan to implement a way of logging all kills to a file, which would have been great if an admin isn't on a server when the tards start on each other. I don't think it ever got implented though.

Or, maybe you could just delay the messages for 30 seconds or more.

Just a thought.
