Civilians allowed to request armed kit

Post by Rudd »

Civilians picking up weapons during combat would suck badly ingame, but how about they were allowed to request a kit via the QM from one particular location on the map - the idea being they have precoded to a insurgent training facility of sorts and are not radicalised and trained to an extent

e.g. they proceed to teh palace on Basrah and get a kit akin to the scout class on Archer

this can help gameplay as sometimes the situation changes to the point that there are too many civilians on the map and a few should switch to another kit to avoid giving intel/tickets. (assuming ofc you are fighting a good british team that doesnt shoot civilians on sight)

just floating this idea :D

I don't think this is a very good idea because the civilians should be worked along with an armed insurgent to protect him and lure Brits into traps etc. Allowing civilians to arm themselves with weapons would be to difficult for the British to establish which civilians are armed, unless you gave them a new hat or something. IDK, just my opinion.

I had an idea that civilians could pick up basic tools you could find in a department store; Sledgehammer, pickaxe, crowbar, spade, and pick. These pick up "kits" containing just the one tool could be used as a weapon, and Coalition force could shoot them within 10 (adjustable) meters.

That'd simulate a hostile civilian truly working with the Insurgents. It'd also give that dirty fighter in a minute feel instead of instant armed soldier.

I like this idea. :)

I like this idea. Since Insurgents are getting rallies of sorts, Civilians should be able to request armed kits at those rallies. It would sort of be similar to the civilian going to the local Insurgent hideout and asking if he could join and fight.

If they can pick up a kit from the rally they will be able to pick up a kit from a dead guy...

This is IMO not needed at all.

Not really Waaah, the devs could make a special "New Insurgent" kit that Civilians could request and that would be the only kit Civlians could pick up (without dying). Basically it could be the Insurgent stater kit complete with an AK47 with 1 mag, a knife and one molotov.

Actually, that's a really good idea. Make it so the civilians can request a suicide bomber kit (basically only weapons are rocks and a cylinder shaped firing device that sets them off).

Not if they can only pick up 1 kit, and the kit disappears like the civi kit does now. But I'm not sure if thats possible for a pick up

If you want to be a civilian with a gun, choose insurgent next time you spawn.

No the point is the civi should be able to pick up a gun if the americans/brits aren't looking. That way they really have to keep an eye out for civilians and really arest so that they wont pick up an AK when you turn you back at them.

Is that just a rock or is it a special rock? It looks special from the background stuff (scientific apparatus thing). Did I mention that guy's face looks quite obese?
