Why has sniper kit not been fixed in 0.8?
Speaking of .75 the sniper kit is completely useless, regardless of player skill and thats why everyone i play with regards all players which have the sniper kit (not marksman kit) as fools, or just new guys. Main point in .75 M16 w/scope wins against sniper kit at ALL ranges.
Why has deviation not been removed?
Now i only ask this because on the change list, in the .8manual this change is NOT noted, and so i will assume it hasnt been changed.

I know it was a bad idea for the OP to even post this without having played 0.8, but if the deviation has been fixed, I agree that it should have been in the changelog.

well it doesnt say it in the change list, and this forum is mainly full of nonsense threads and spam, and the DEV journal doesnt cover changes in guns...[R-CON]Cp wrote:You assume wrong.

Not only has the deviation been messed with there is now a new audio que of you character breathing that lets you know when you will have an accurate shot.

Mabye i should have added to the sprint thread, considering my friend who also plays PR can have all that equipment on and run for god knows how long.

Though i really wonder how that works. And how they make sure the breathing sound is never off... Or is that just a sound when full accuracy has been reached?Not only has the deviation been messed with there is now a new audio que of you character breathing that lets you know when you will have an accurate shot.

my pulse is more annoying than my breathing if i want to keep my hand still...
But thats not the point.
on bf2s you can see weapon stats for vanilla BF2,
what im asking now is, is it 0.05/0.1/0.2? etcDeviation Mod when Zoomed 0.005 (m24)
Or just say that you will never tell me or anyone this and thats that.

Cos snipers still deviate, except now when you use alternate fire (i think that's the key) or maybe its the fire select key, summin like that, you hear breathing so the sniper will know when to get the most accurate shot, as in real life

Perhaps I'm wrong, but it strikes me that you may be try to snipe in PR like you would in BF2. You can't do that and be worth anything. You have to take your time and shoot from >500m away when possible (at least thats what works for me anyway). I personally think the deviation is awesome, if for nothing else than it gives the shooter a huge disadvantage at close range. It forces you to anticipate where your target will go. It requires a heightened awareness of your environment that is not required in vanilla. It forces caution.
An example: A guy is running perpindicular to your line of fire, but keeps erratically moving and generally being watchful in the direction you are looking (with his back to you). If he passes by a building, it would be reasonable to assume he might pause at the corner to check for hostiles, so you would line up with the corner and wait for him to track into your line of fire. Yet even then you might choose not to shoot. Is he high value? Can you survive the encounter? Is he alone? Are there any hostiles near you to your flanks or rear? None of these questions are important in vanilla, but in PR they are vital.
In my opinion the sniper isn't broken, the breathing thing will be nice, but it's not broken to need fixing.

The deviation has changed. I know because I'm the one who spent three months of 10 hour days changing it.
Apparently some people think if they leave a quarter on their computer at night, the computer fairy will leave a new PR game by morning. But it actually takes work; Altering code, then having to wait while the game and map load, then testing it and realizing something else needs to be tweaked. Do that dozens of times for each weapon to the point of exhaustion, then realize there are nearly 50 more weapons that require the same attention. After hours, days, and weeks of work and thinking you're done, you find another problem that could be exploited and you start all over again.
So maybe you can understand how we might get a little upset when someone posts complaints about something they haven't even seen or played, with no appreciation as to what it took to provide it for you. Deviation wasn't in the changelog? The changelog itself is thicker than a dictionary so if we forget something, ease up. We're human.
Once the game is officially released, I'll be happy to answer any and all questions about the deviation.
