Who pay FilePlanet ONLY for PR0.8 ???

Hey guyz, i just wanna how much people did exactly like me : Pay a Monthly membership ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY for Project Reality ?

I pay 8$ for it, and i was ready to pay 60$ even more if PR became a entire game in itself using the P.R.Engine lol!

Anyway who did the same thing ?

Em no thanks. I have the patience to wait an extra day to download .8 and I sure as hell am not gonna pay 8 dollars to get it a day early. Besides, the waiting line will be huge if alot of people actually do bother to pay for it.

EDIT: you dont need a subscritption for the dl, only a free account so yeah...

I did it for the Insurgency mod release which turned out to be a huge imo disappointment. I know 0.8 is gonna rock but its only 1 day.

torrent in advance with password is the way to do it. Not this fileplanet pay BS.

Dont forget that PR is still FREE, If everyplayers donated 8$ like you say may they neednt give the exclusive to FP. And if people want to pay for get it one day before I think that is not your problem. Anyway we are talking about one day! relax!

I just say suit yourself. People will buy a new game on release day, others will wait till it hits the bargain bin.

I must say, it'd be great to have a brand new copy of .8 straight out (shame I can't get that new game smell ), but I'll wait a day or two. I'll probably finished DLing when I can play again on Monday anyways.

fileplanet gives really fast speeds, but remember the "exclusive" does not mean you HAVE to pay. You can still download the files for FREE, you will just have to wait in queue to download the files... usually its a 20 min wait or so, but the speeds make up for it.

The chance to get on fileplanets front page was very good for publicity for us, that is why fileplanet gets an exclusive, but dont worry everyone can still download the files.

Guys, FilePlanet aren't passing the proceeds of any subscriptions onto us and we didn't receive any money from them to give them the exclusive.

By comparison, the best that realitymod.com reached in the past 6 months was 0.002% of all the internet's users. That's 2 thousandsth of a percent of the interent, or two hundred thousandths of total internet users - we're ranked at nearly #70,000 in site listings - 29,000 internet users in June, roughly.


Divide 1,500,000 by 30 and 29,000 by 30 to get a daily number (roughly - this is all back-of-an-envelope, Mas-isn't-brilliant-with-maths stuff):


Coverage of release solely on Realitymod.com on Friday: 966 people view it.

So yeah, fileplanet coverage is a big deal. Especially considering that much of the internet's traffic has no interest in gaming or modding, but it's safe to bet that 100% of traffic headed towards Fileplanet.com are interested in video games and modifications.
