correct, the province in which Muttrah is in is called Muscat, and yes, there is a city in Muscat called Muscat which is the Captical, but Muttrah is the port of Muscat

the dam is by far the worse part of Jabal, in both gameplay and looks. Even if it is the wrong way round, the area couldn't even be used as a dam cos if they attempted to flood that valley, the water would go around and out by the west and easy beach... Gameplay wise, its got some nice vertical gameplay to it but that's really it. Apart from that, its pretty sucky.

I still see Jabal on the 0.8 maplist, I don't mean to besmerch the guy that created it but it's a bit of a smudge against the pwetty & realistic ones that are coming out.

Now that Muttrah & Barracuda are here and Oman's going, do we still need Jabal?

I agree. Jabal is way past its prime now. Maybe time to go the way of the Dodo. Considering 0.8 is already over 2gigs, it might be beneficial.

AWWW HELL NO!

I for one find Jabal to be one of the most enjoyable maps to play, sure, the Dam is a bit silly, but the mix between helicopter assualt, desert combat, urban combat, bottlenecks, etc, make for a really good battle.

PLEASE do not get rid of it, I also really like Ejod for similiar reasons..
