Well, in my opinion, only ONLY the people that took it, and actaully used it to it's best abilitys and taking out armor,(this is for the A10) and AA's, if they die for some unknown reason, then they should be allowed to fly again. Not some other person that says "OMG I WUZ HERE YOU NOOB YOUR NOT GOOD! LET ME FLY IT NOW!!!" *the nob takes it up and BOOM* Yeah... Anyways, for the F16, only if they take out the MiG and Frogfoot, can they be allowed to fly again, basiclly if they do their duties in the aircraft, they should be allowed to fly again.

But one time on a server, I was chasing a MiG, and I believe in using guns to kill because they are the difference between a good pilot, and a great pilot. Anyways, im busy chasing him, and then were below 1000 ft, the mig pilot turns and does a split S(roll inverted, pull back on the stick) and I ATTEMPT to do the same, only I am letting off on the stick and using rudders, then BOOM he crashes into the ground. then I see on the enemy chat: YOU SUX YOU'LL NEVER FLY AGAIN I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!!!

But strange thing is, is that i almost did a split S, and im guessing it was a hill that seperated me, and him from death, but I came out only inches from death, very strange tho.

I think it's only fair that if you and someone else is waiting for a aircraft and you get it, the guy who was waiting with you will get the next one (if he's still waiting of course).

And "Maverick", gun kills with a jet in PR does not = skill.
With the bad hitboxes of the BF2 engine it's more luck than skill if you hit while in a turning fight, it's better to just use the missile and don't risk the aircraft. Only use the guns if they are flying just about flat.

Gun kills do equal skill. Missiles just do the work for you, and if the hitboxes don't hit, then why do migs die when, im shooting at them in a turning fight and i kill him?

You gotta lead into the planes with the guns, if you expect to point and click that isn't gonna work.

i think it would be good if they go on empty server for flying.
true they dont learn how to proper deliver troops, drop bombs on targets head or evade enemy AA on empty servers. but at least how to fly.

next step: play 100 rounds in an voip-inf-squad. then you can watch other pilots doing their job bad or doing it good.

~sure after this post no one will waste any asset anymore

Heli transporting can be really exhausting.
I just flew 2 1/2 hours with black hawk in kashaan desert and after it i was pretty worn out...
But I hate it when noobs are waiting a looong time for the A10 and then fly 1 minute and get shot! Or when they steal my helo even though it was mine and then they crash :/

We must give the time for n00bs to learn what training server are for so they hopefully stop wasting assets in "real" combat.

Well, I have just been on a training map, trying to LEARN, how to fly a jet, and smacktards were constantly blowing up the runway, so I couldn't really land or take off with out crashing.

Quick question how do you taxi to the runway?

Leading the aircraft, as you saw in that video, IS skill. I've seen pilots try to shoot their guns at me, greren tracers were goin by my tail, and before they knew it, they were out of guns. Why can't anyone just accept that guns are skillful? and no, don't blame it on the hitboxes. Thank you.

No they shouldn't be kicked for only wanting to fly. But there is no excuse for people 'learning' to fly in full online games. If you want to learn, use training servers, or start a local game, or download the single player mod(i know its old version, i'm sure they're working on the .8 version)

That being said, there are lots of amature pilots like myself that just want some expierence in real games. Don't always assume we suck or have never played as pilot just because we get shot down quickly. I've been in aircraft flown by expert pilots and have gotten shot down right away, or watched him crash into a tree cause of lag.

Now if you roll a chopper trying to take off, and then come back and wait for the same chopper to respawn, when there are other more exp pilots on your team. Yeah, kick and ban the retard.

Example:
We have a dedicated heli squad on Baracuda. 2 pilots waiting for a helicopter to spawn. A chopper spawns and some guy named Corrient, whos in an infantry squad, takes it. Nosedives and kills everyone on the heli.
Alex: Why the fuck would you take a heli if youre not in the dedicated heli squad?
Corrient: why not? My squad needed transport
Alex: we have a squad dedicated to transport!
Corrient: So?

Your little video perfectly show the hitbox issue that I'm talking about, you didn't do any damage to the last jet before about 2:20 in the movie, even though you can see clear explosions from the 20 mm.
And as someone said, everyone knows that you have to lead... If we were playing Falcon 4.0 here, I'd say "nice gun kill", but using the gun in PR ain't very impressive, it just gives you a chance to overshoot the target (as you almost did) so that the tables will be turned.
If you would've done that dogfight in 0.8, you would've been out of ammo before you could've killed the first jet.

Also, the pilots you fought were not good at all, they were often flying flat out, which everyone knows is bad when you're getting gunned.

Sorry to say, but you're no better than that other guy waiting for the jet.

At least i keep it up WAY longer than other people, and that was on at training server, so what you expect? and no, I wouldn't have ran out of ammo, i know to conserve ammo, and save it. I am more than just that other guy waiting for a jet, you think YOU can do any better? and I can kill jets very well, I don't know what your problem is, but you must kinda stink at using guns in PR, and no, no hitbox lag, the Caliber bullets of the F16 are smaller than the Mig, so they can take more punishment. But the MiG-29, has a VERY higher caliber, but only carries a little bit of bullets, but they really do pack a punch.

Okay? So don't say it's a ''hitbox lag'' because that just tells me that you are not very accurate or haven't practiced enough of them. It's not lag. trust me, don't ever say that i'm a bad pilot, or quote on quote ''the next guy waiting for the jet'' Please, just don't your're wasting your time.

Also, one more thing, yes i did do damage to that last jet, the A10 was shooting at the jet also, and so we both got him.

Good day. Stay on topic.

I learned to fly on the SP mod. Taking off and taxiing is a little different in 0.8.
Fo training purposes, download the SP mod.

I'd have to agree. In real life you need a LICENSE to fly a jet. Why not make a simple test for the following: Sniper, Aircraft, and Armor. No pass, no toys.

An example jet test would be this
-Take off and land on a runway successfully 9/10 times.
-Given 10 targets with consistent lasering, hit them 10/12 times
-Engage and destroy a straight flying, low speed aircraft 9/10 times
-When locked on, do evasive maneuvers and/or flares to avoid the missile 9/10 times

These would be supervised by R-DEVs. So said smacktard can't even take off it if he can't do this (it's pretty easy if you know your stuff).

EX: Trained Person requests pilot kit, it allocates his kit
EX: UNtrained Person requests pilot kit, gets "You do not have the training needed for this kit"

Been suggested several times before, it has been deemed impossible.

What about this then. You crash an air asset, you're not allowed to use air assets/request a pilot kit for 25 minutes?
