Longer prone times and no auto-reloading...

Post by Cerberus »

People have abusing the prone stance for long enough. There's no chance in hell people in a real combat situation in an urban environment would be going prone at every corner and looking around it. Going prone should be similar to how it is in Operation Flashpoint.

Now, before you flame me for saying "zomg butt j00 can get down reel fast IRL," I suggest now that maybe there could be a dive button (similar to current proning), but it would take longer for you to wield your gun after hitting the ground (and maybe there should be a bit of shock when you hti the ground). This would be used when you suddenly start taking fire and you have to hit the ground fast.

Also, the auto-reloading system is just way too unrealistic. It should be banished for all eternity and replaced with a manual reloading system

Another thing, is it possible to make the assault rifles more like the M4 and AKS-74U? Basically, if you're moving the gun while trying to aim it, the shots won't go exactly where you aim them, but with the M16 and AK-101 in PR, the shots will almost always go where your sights are aimed, regardless of whether or not they're moving.

I definately like that idea. All you would need to do is just eliminate the auto reload... there's allready a manual reload key allready present. Nice idea!

ive brought this up a few times, i think there should be a shock when you land too. depending on what kit you have. obviously support should hav e a longer shock maybe a full second? compared to a sniper which should hav e a oh say .2 second one.

sight sway

Post by six7 »

good ideas. i especially think that when you first bring a gun up to your shoulder and look down the sights, there should be a fair amount of sway. the longer you hold it in one general position, the more the sway would deminish. the biggest sway would be when you were first bringing the sights up to your face, then by moving the weapon controlled, the sway would stay minimal. if u swing your gun around as fast as your mouse will let you, the sway would increase again.

this could possibly also be linked to the stamina meter , giving it more importance. AA had a combat effectiveness meter that would change depending on how badly you were wounded, if you were being heavily supressed by gunfire, or if you had just finished sprinting. the meter would affect you gun sway and the accuracy of your shots. if a similar system could be created, maybe it would make LMGs be used properly instead of just being an assault rifle with a 200round mag.

~i dont know how often some of these guns will jam in a combat environment, but adding the occasional weapon jam would be nice
