0.8 Already released and on Fileplanet?

I'm too scared to try it (can't waste bandwidth for various reasons), but it seems to add up.

The file sizes on Fileplanet don't match those in my folders for PR .708 Core/Maps, or .756 - however I only have the patch version for - is there a full install for it, or has Fileplanet actually been hosting it under the wrong heading all this time by simply updating the 0.75 files (leaving an incorrect date etc)?

For the record:

PR 0.708
Core: 1.169gb
Levels: .8795gb

PR 0.754
Patch: .282gb
Levels: .954gb

Fileplanet PR 0.75
Core: 1.18gb
Levels: .9318gb

Am I off the money? Can someone use their superfast internet to check?

Alternately, can someone with the full PR .75 install confirm they're the right sizes, or someone with 0.8 confirm they're the right sizes for that release.

I'm saying that they updated the file, but none of the information (last update date, name, file information etc). So that it is still listed as 0.75 Full Core/Levels when it's really 0.8. However there are other possibilities, and I'm hoping that someone can clear it up.

Calm down, take less or more sugar accordingly as 0.8 still hasn't been released yet.

The files are compressed on fileplanet so won't be equal to your directory size, and then the .exe file can self extract on install again. Anyway you will have to download the full 0.8 levels + core from scratch again and remove your previous version(s) or PR as so far there isn't an incremental patch. It is allegedly about 2.7 GB in size for core + levels.

Extract from PR manual:

1. Installation
Before installing Project Reality 0.8, make sure your Battlefield 2 installation
is patched to the newest Version (currently 1.41). If you own the Add-On or
Booster Packs, the order of installation is as listed below:
1) Battlefield 2
2) Add-On: Special Forces (if available)
3) Booster Pack: Euro Force (if available)
4) Booster Pack: Armored Fury (if available)
5) Full Patch to 1.41
6) Project Reality 0.8 core installer
7) Project Reality 0.8 levels installer
If you have a previous installation of Project Reality (0.75 or lower) on
your computer, you should completely remove the PR directory which
is located in the mods folder of your BF2 installation
Also if you have a previous installation of Project Reality (0.7 or lower),
you should delete the existing shortcuts before installing 0.8
If you receive a warning screen when starting Project Reality, this is most
likely due to a bad shortcut or joining via Xfire. Please use the shortcut
provided by the PR 0.8 installer to start the game
Our sound artists have been stretching the BF2 sound engine to it's
limits. In order to have the best possible experience with Project Reality
it is very important that you enable EAX in your BF2 sound options

well with 0.8 supposedly sitting at about 2.7gb i think what you are looking at is... 0.75

if you look there you'll notice it says showing 1 to 6 files, when infact only 4 are shown, so 0.8 aint ready to download yet

(for those who dint uploaded big files to fileplanet and such, it takes time until the links are published and content is ready to download ... thats why 1-6 while 4 links are present so stay tuned)
