PunkBuster Issue

I'm fully aware that this isn't a PR issue, but I'm not sure where else to post this and would appreciate the PR community's help.

Nearly every time I go to connect to a server, I get kicked as soon as I join by PunkBuster. I get the error that it was "unable to establish handshake with PnkBstrB.exe". Upon minimizing PR I often find that PnkBstrB.exe is not even running in the process list. I've tried everything I can think of, including running PBSetup, which I downloaded from the PunkBuster website. I've even gone to the length of running it every time before I launch PR, with no results.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Go to windows services and stop the PunkbusterA service from there.

Heh. I've found two ways to get this to work.

Everytime you run a BF2 related game before you do that run pbsvc and completely install it.

Or for some reason (Don't ask me why) this works. Before you join the server you want. Scroll down and find an empty server that isn't running punkbuster. Join that server and let it load, Then once your fully inside disconnect and go to the server you want. For some odd reason that always works for me.
