Re: [Map]Northern Iraq
Sure ill help in any way. i was think that if someone in any community faction came up to me i would help. Right now i'm setting a small river though the mountains(No landbridges
) and add several small stone bridges, the area will have around 10 small towns through out the mountains and a INS base. (INS base just cause its realistic) if you need anything else feel free to post or PM me.

Re: [Map]Northern Iraq

Here is a nice preview of the main ground type on the map. Now that the ground type has been changed to better fit the style found near the Turkish border. Most of my mountains are done as they lie mostly on the outside of the map. Inside the middle there is a high range of heights to fight over for control, if you get a hill, you can dominate the area around it(Like in real life, high ridge lines and rolling hills between them
The towns and villages will be all over, around the checkpoints will be small compounds. After the release of 0.8 most the buildings will have the N. Afgan. style buildings if they fit. (Should, the mud ones don't look right

This sounds like it's gonna be a tight map!
U.S. ARMY helped the Turks in this anyways.

Well Us army did not help that much.We were the force that attacked.Us Army gave the intelligence but turkey had the intelligence needed from its uavs and special ops teams who were sent months before there are spies in the terrorist camps.Turkey also has a satellite...

Re: [Map] Northern Iraq
Well, the map has been made into a Turkish Forces map mostly to keep up to date with the current forces battling over the region.

Re: [Map] Northern Iraq
i wont be here this weekend but here just a type update.
The map now is 1/3 mountains and all over. Most is on 1 side to look like a large ridge line. A new member of the Turkish Facton Development Team is working on a Guard Shack and Guard Buildings for the checkpoints. The map still has only the texture down, ill be painting the new mountains and fine touching next week for the possible road building.

Re: [Map] Northern Iraq
Update time, just some writing but not much.
I started to map out my roads through the map. I have a long, turning paved road that goes around the map. Then several of my dirt roads around it. These roads will connect the small towns to the "main"(Paved) road. The mountains have taken a alot of new shapes mostly nice mountain paths that will over look the entire map and make the climb to the top and into the hills deadly to the NATO forces.
The new rolling hills will get a new texture and the paths will be painted to become a real nice hill fight. Also 2 "NEW" ridge lines in the map will map dominating of high hills more important to defense and living.
After talk with a good friend of mine and a guy playing on low settings he has added many things to help make the map what it is and how to not give him problems. This project so far even though early has been a huge step forward in the past 2 days. The issues people on Low settings face are way different then many others face. A new thing he added today was to include as few trees as possible.(The new Trees on Korengal Valley
) His points will make this map I hope as lag free as possible for these many players. So thanks techno and thanks for your help so far.

One of the Mountain Top Climbing trails. As you can see there is still alot of work to be done.

A small area of the Highway.

A random picture of the mountains, I think.........

There is your small update, enjoy and ill keep working on this project.

Re: [Map] Northern Iraq
Is that 1/3 through?? No offense looks a lil less than that, but hey I haven't seen the whole map
You obviously have the basic ground done, and started some carving into the hills, it looks good mate!
