It'd be nice if it didn't take a whole clip to kill a guy from about 20 meters away with the suckness accuracy of the ACOG. -_-!

Noobofthenight wrote:I love everything about it apart from the four issues:
1. You sprint like a stoned sloth. And have about as much stamina as the 1 tonne man.
2. You aim like a blind 4 year old cripple who has weak arms.
3. Rally points are incredibly easy to destroy.
4. Kit limitiations in no way reflect a RL section set up.

However, I love the new maps, content, etc. Kongreal valley (I'm pretty sure I just mispelled that but meh.) is the most fun I've ever had in PR, seems to live up to my imagination as just like Afghanistan is like.

All in all, its a generally positive thing, but I obviously have those four gripes with it. Oh, what is not mentioned all that much, the animations are absolute gold.
I have to say I agree with this. I can deal with 3. and 4, but 1. and 2. are a major bug in my ***. This is the first time ever in the public release history of PR that I'd disagreed so strongly with a decision that was made by the Dev team. This is not to say I don't see what they were going for.

However, we are representing fairly to very physically fit combatants. I should be able to run/jog more than the distance of two blocks without having to stop and sounding like I"m having an asthma attack. Running speeds have been slowed enough to give us back a little distance to our jog.

The only think I'll say about the deviation thing is this. It has in effect brought conefire back into effect, only much more complicated this time around. Once again, I have read what the goal is, understand it and agree with it to a certain extent. I just think it needs some balancing to give us back some feeling of control and accuracy to our shots because I don't think in many cases, its working as intended. I could be wrong.

Another bug is the "bloody face effect" threshhold. Come on, I stub my toe or jump off a 6 foot ledge and I'm bleeding to death all over my face?

Sorry to get too much into detail with my objections, but these three issues are the only three issues that keep me from giving it a "this blew me out of the water" review. All in all, it is one of the best updates I've seen, though.

I like .8.. i dindt expected something like this... too much CTD..my game doesnt starts properly, i have to hit pr.exe 6 times, and it responds on the Number 6, and in Supr + alt + Ctrl, Procces, appears BF2.exe or Pr.exe (I dont remember.. i think both) appears 15 Times.. and the game wont load or you cant play whitout crashes or problems.. so i clikc on Progress again, explorer.exe, new work, explorer.exe and everything back to normal.. and then.. that shit happens again :(
I dunno, but i was hoping for the Canadian Army.. :P

But!, i loe the maps.. i was hoping for see a better Textured SKS.. i was hoping for More Textures, Shadows and Lightings.. i saw them.. all of them!!

It is made of 18 Carat Gold and Pure Win...exactly what I expected it to be.

Its not quite 24 Carat gold due to the fact that my stoner mates can run further than PR allows us too run, and the fact that I have a better chance of killing someone with the gun in my left hand (right handed) shooting behind my back while standing on my head.

Worse than I thought, Noobofthenight said most of the reasons and added with new "engineer" and firebases, the negative sides run over the positive ones. Hope the 0.9 will fix most of these

the deviation, red bleeding screen, and bleed-out from 1 pistol shot. irritate me a bit. IMO they should go back to black and white bleed out screen, as when you lose blood, you lose color vision. last time i was bleeding, tiny droplets of blood did not spatter on the edges of my pupils. still a great release though.

and the sprint distance needs to be incresed. 100m of sprint before exhaustion is wayy too little. and yes, the deviation is terrible. nade launchers are awesome though, but i think the grenadier kit should get ironsighted weapons only. as of now, its ub3r domination.

i agree. first time shooting, i used 60 bullets on a guy laying still at 200m and didnt kill him. no, im not a noob. i aimed, put the sight on the guy, waited 2 seconds, fired. missed, waited 4th of a second fired. missed. waited half a second fired. missed. repeat 27 times. reload. repeat 30 more times. at one point the guy started standing and jumping around cause he knew i wouldnt hit him. what a load of malarchy.

Although I think I liked 0.5 best, 0.8 far exceeded what I thought it would be. 100 times better than 0.7 which made me stop playing the game for quite a while.

IMO .8 is ruined because of the deviation. It now feels like vanilla bf2 again with the nerf guns. I thought we were going for realism here. Now everyone is trying to balance everything and force teamwork on people. Well, it seems PR is now like team fortress 2. This sucks.

if i listed my top ten rounds in PR history, about half of them would be from .8 (and i have been playing for 2+ years). the firefights are just incredible now.

absolutely fan-freaking-tastic work, devs!

Yep I can kill them perfectly. I really like the new version and dont mind all the changes. So far I havent noticed much of the new kit selection system. Usually the special weapons are still in the squad Im in. And I like the new rally point system. You get that over-run feel instead of: My magical spawn place.
