ok now i know this idea has been said 10000 times so i won't say why it should be implemented, VOIP cannot be changed hard coded yes... but why not have vehicle drivers/pilots automatically put into there own "squad" so they can talk to each other maybe even be directly to commander or SL of other squads. whats the limitation on squads?

Unfortunately, there's no "setSquad" command available in Python, so forcing people in a squad is not possible. If it were however, I doubt your suggestion would work, because then people will get ripped out of their own squad, resulting in not being able to talk to their (ex) squadmates, hehe.

i sort of meant they would kind of be in both but not... ok that doesn't really make scene but yeah, once they are the pilot only the commander can use voip to contact them to coordinate there attack or landing from the info given from the SL's. oh well if it cant be done it cant be done :(

one of the great things in the Project Reality Tournament is that we have our comms sorted so that you can talk to whoever you need to :D

Works on public games as well, for example Hunter takes lead of an infantry voip squad and me with max or anyone else take an apc to transport and support them. Works always ;)

All shared there infos via ingame voip, and if the inf sq need a tank or heli for support, they call it in over teamspeak.

Or if the shopper sees targets, he give the info to the guys on the ground to let them know whats coming... (Ok, the most time the e tank was engaged by us and was down b4 report is needed.)

But works fine!
