So I was talking with Nemosphere (one of the Admins at HeroS) and He informed me that he and Pilou are currently working on a new Admin control centre specifically for Project Reality.

They are already testing their new version of BF2CC on the HeroS server. However there is still much work to be done on it before it will be fully ready for use/download.

Nemo has asked me to find out if any of you good people have the programing ability/experience and wish to help out.
If so please either PM me at Reality mod or contact me at http://mbo.clangrid.com alternetavley if your French is pretty good you can speak to Nemo at the HeroS forum HeroS

I will post more details on how this project is going and some details on what this new BF2cc from the HeroS will be capable of. ( Let me assure you it already has a great many new facets that adress some of the old problems presented by BF2CC and Rcon controls.)

can i ask what programming languaje do you guys use? i mean for games in general...may be c++? just curious ...

OK sorry about the delay as I have been pretty busy. How ever here is the latest news on HeroS BF2CC brought to you by Nemosphere....

Hey all.
We three members of the HeroS-clan.com began an alternative solution,
using php for the interface.

I have to create a demo site for you. This will show you a similar HUD
than BF2cc but provided by php. Apache will assume the login management
as far as it can do it, even throught secure connections.

Php can manage the users restrictions too. So you can have operators,
game masters, admins, and in general all kind of permissions you wish
to authorize, Apache can do that as well.

Communications are used beetwen php and RconBF2server. Php manage them
for using the good scheme in the commands. So php is able to read and
write what is needed via one unique RCON tunnel, but two admin-users
should be not able to ask for and inverse in the same time. ( not yet
done)

The interface can be turned in one LANG or the other as soon as
translations are available. Modmanager's messages can be sent to the
destinated players in a selected language, wich can be not be in the same
language than the message provided by the server to the admin making
the request.

Updates are instantly distributed, because you can update your server
pages and all clients will receive the new document's version.

We have the use of mySQL, to store the connection parameters from any
player. We use a python daemon too wich is connected to RCON and
receives all new connexion, all the chat messages too, then store them
in a dedicated SQL base.

This special feature is very important cause it's usefull when a bad
players do what every game admin has seen in his life :
Someone blow absolutely all assets in his own Main base, then immediatly
disconnects.
The web interface provides a search engine with wich you will find what
needed parameters to ban him even he his no longer connected to your
server.

You can obviously control the chat messages and searching 'words,
dates'...

A second menu allows you to manage server's config profiles, maplists,
creating new ones where possible. Making room on the server is possible
too.
The smart balancing has been modified, for example a teamkill will not
be a valid death to be switched to the other side.

Finally ( i will not develop all subjects in this present message),
This interface can manage 2 or 4 teamspeak servers.

The interface allows moderators to run or shutdown a special event's
teamspeak server without the need of accessing to the shell of this
host.

You can restart the server.
