Re: [US ARMY]M68(red-dot) vs ACOG
When most firefights tend to take place at close range, having a true scope is more of a hinderance than a help.

that is probably because the M68 is not a scope, its a aimpoint, it serves a different purpose.

Re: [US ARMY]M68(red-dot) vs ACOG
a mix in the squad gives best results atm, but given the choice on Korengal, i'll take the m68 because of the short scope in time
but on qwai for example, I may go ACOG so I can engage at range, as the ACOG and its equivalents still pwn at range.
But overall, I agree, the m68 is indeed the scope of choice for all round performance ingame

I prefer the acog. The only problem is the longer sight in time but imo the range makes up for it.

Normally when i use a kit wit the ACOG i wished i had one with a Red dot and vice versa. Although the Red dot is very nice so i'm leaning to red dot as a personal favourite.
If you can read this the ***** fell off.

At first i thought the ACOG was more of a hindrance to the Officer class, and if that was the only weapon you had, i'd agree...
But you have the super ninja range of Pistols, they have amazing accuracy under 30-40m and minimum recoil and sight-in time. Against forces without body armour (i.e Insurgents) the pistol is amazing, against conventional army forces it can give you enough time to flee so your Squad can kill those enemy while you sip brandy and generally chill-out/destroy vehircles with cack handed driving.
The ACOG is also very usefull for defense, where the slower sight-in time isnt a factor and your extra long range accuracy comes into play i.e Holding Lanigal on Korengal is childsplay with one capable squad and great ACOG-Justice.

Love the aimpoint for urban combat, esp when moving scoped in you can still get decent groupings.
ACOG I still like a lot, find it better to aim under the triangle (at the apex) rather than right at the tip, no accuracy issues here

I prefer the ACOG over all, but there are times where the M68 would be better.

You also have the laser pistol that takes 0.300 milliseconds to pull out and aim though.Waaah_Wah wrote:Now i hate being a SL coz i always get that god awful scope and it takes me 300 million years to get it up to my face...

I thought the aimpoint woulda been better in close urban combat like rameil, but imo I like the acog better, hands down

for the record the pistol owns in most CQB casesHarrod200 wrote:You also have the laser pistol that takes 0.300 milliseconds to pull out and aim though.

The US Army medic gets an aimpoint instead of ironsights. It doesn't offer that great of an advantage, but I still like it, so I'm not complaining.
