PR 0.8 crashes to desktop while loading map

sometimes when i am loading an map the game suddenly crashes and i return to my desktop. but sometimes the maps works and sometimes they dont. i never had these problems at 0.75


my computer specs are:


resolution = 1280 x 1024

video card = geforce 9600 gt, 512 mb, 265 bit, DDR3, DX10

RAM = 2 GB

power suply = 520 watt

proccesor = AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual core processor 3800+ 2.00 Ghz

windows = Windows Vista Ultimate (crack)

you sure you have more then 800 x 600 in bf2?

run pr in windowed mode and look at the error box (and take a screenshot) and post it here.

i dont get an error box. it just crashes

how do i know how many i have because if i go to properties of my pc it always put it on 1280x1024. i cant go any higher

To change your screen resolution put something like this in your pr shortcut....
+modPath mods/pr +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024 or whatever resolution you want.

Hi all hope you can help me. I have an AMD 2.8 dual core running @3.01 2 Nvida 8600GTS 512x2 in SLI mode. 640 SATA HD 4 Meg Kinston Hyper mem and Vista 64bit. BF2 original and expansion pack they run fine in single and multiplayer. I have installed PRv0.8 twice with map pacs but can not get PR to load to a game. 1st issue kicked by PB so manualy loaded updated Punk Buster file. Then failed no map so reinstalled maps. Now when I run PB and hit the server it trys to load then drops me back to the desk top with no reason!

No mater how much work to install all again if thats what it takes then I will, but any help with step-by-step would be great.

im getting the same i have every thing on high and have no problems when i start a map.then when i get to the next map it takes me to desktop
