Click on Deploy and game crashes to desktop

I have Windows XP desktop HP updated to XP SP3. An ATI Radeon X1300 Video card, 300 gb HD and 4 GB memory. My screen settings are not 800 by 600 but 1024 by 768. When I get ready to play a map and click on deploy, the game crashes quickly to the desktop with no error screen. I do have the latest Punkbuster, BF2 patch 1.41, and latest PR installed. Please help

Same problem me... I also re-installed everything... but always when I launch the game... login in my account... try to login on server game "puff" I'm again back in desktop

If this data can help you, I have 2 PCI-SLI video card... maybe is this the problem?

Problem solved for me! All I had to do was change the video settings in the game higher than 800 by 600. I read the other posts and I changed my computer video settings to 1024 by 768, but I didn't know you also had to change the Video settings within the game.

Ye, i had problem with 4GB of memory too, easy test would be lowering your memory to only 2GB and see if that helps, if it does, then u need to follow the link presented or try this one:
