You guys need to understand that most Germans are, in fact, offended by 'promotion' (for want of a better word) of Nazi stereotypes. Nazi salutes, displaying a swastika etc - they're illegal in Germany. The poster can be forgiven for making a complaint, even though he may be misguided in believing others have the same feelings, or that they are obliged to police player names that others might find offensive.

He doesn't deserve to be ridiculed or insulted.

You misunderstand. As Epoch correctly states, in many (most) European states, the promotion - direct or indirect - of Nazi themes, the dsplaying of Nazi emblems etc - are illegal acts. People can and are jailed for holocaust denial and promotion of Nazi ideals.

The Waffen-SS were a frontline fighting unit but they were also classified after the war as a criminal organisation at the Nuremburg Trials.


Put it like this: having a German citizen complain about use of a Nazi political organisation's name in-game; it's like having a black American complain about a player using "KKK" or "Klansman" as his screenname.

It's that devisive and that important to people.

The Battle Arena is a great server and the one I usually play. There are often alot of smacktards playing and the admins usually deal with them quickly. The people that are complaining about being banned, were dealt with for a reason. I have never seen an admin kick anyone that didnt deserve it!!

One nice thing about our server is the !vk option. Have a problem with a player? !vk and the vote sticks the whole round not just a few seconds. So let's say someone steals a helicopter while the pilot is bandaging (you know who you are in this thread) others would type !vk .... whatever the name happens to be and we are notified. If 10 points are reached the player is removed from the server.

Had a lot of fun today on teh 24/7 Muttrah server.
First in the afternoon, it was empty so a couple of us decided to have death races.
Each team got a civilian car with a gunner and a driver. We then headed straight for each other and crashed and blew up.
We repeated the same thing with forklifts, trying to avoid each other, got some good shots in, and then crashed into each other as we were going around a corner.
Then we did one team in a helicopter, the other in a forklift, and we were driving/flying around shooting at each other with shotguns rofl.

Also played just now, had a lot of fun in the Cobra, crazyasian was spotting targets for us and me and bf2sniper were taking them out like crazy, I got like 40 kills in the end and we won.

One guy has been reported on their forums no less than 6 times for being a smacktard, and when I make an additional thread showing how he purposely crashed one helicopter into another, Battlearena posts "I'm sure it was an accident!"

Furthermore, admins allow stupid gamebreaking exploits to go on like AA locking onto helicopters at the carrier, but they will kick you for calling the exploiter a *********!

At the time I was sure it was an accident. The person you are speaking about is Stoned_Medic who recently started acting a fool on alot of servers. Being that he was a guy I played with often and never seemed odd when I was around I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I was wrong. It happens. Sorry it happened to you.

In fact, he was banned the next day after another complaint. After three days we let him on again and started monitoring him under different aliases to see what he was really doing. Then I caught him being a prick red handed and he was banned permanently. See him beg and lie for removal: The Battle Arena on 16 Sep 2008 which is super way before your post about it here 13 days later.

As a result of his actions, the posts of players on our forums (including yours), and a post in the private forums by me here, he has been added to several other servers ban lists and is gone from our server for good.

The MEC setup an FOB and were able to hit the carrier from where they were. There was no exploit. After seeing so many people cry about it I started telling you all to find another way and stop complaining. You continued to complain after a serverwide warning was issued and were kicked. This bothered me because I like playing with you and joined the server to assist. I joined the server got a squad together, we got some boats and APCs, took out the FOB and once other squads saw the ability to advance we actually won the round. Wish you had comeback, it was epic.

Your first round with us was November 4th, 2007. Your last was October 3rd, 2008. We like you and you are a fun guy to play with. So feel free to comeback.

Infact I got banned from there server for calling somebody a a-hole for tking me for a APC (I bleeped it out even 'a#$hole', got warned and kicked for it.

We use the auto kick language system on our server. This would imply that cursing is not a preferred form of speech on our server. You opted to circumvent the auto kick by replacing letters in your word. To me, that's kind of insulting. You obviously know the language isn't welcome, yet you try to be a cleaver guy and get around the rule. That's rude. You got a warning for a different word, after that you used the word you mention and got the boot.

I came back and said what the hell was that for? He tks me and I get kicked for a little swear word, that's ****. Guess he diddn't like it, so I got banned.

You were not TK'd intentionally by an admin that I recall. However, I am the guy who kicked you and here is why.

Now since you are posting a complaint here it seems you are not familiar with our rules.

We provide a system for flagging bad users with !vk <username> it adds points to a complaint list and if enough people agree with you the guy goes away. The votes stay for a round. We have this nice little log the admins see that lets us know who is being flagged by who so we can see if someone is being a jerk repetitively. Other servers have recently added similar systems.

We are now accepting apps for freshman admins who get a few more kickpoints than other players.

Never played on there server since, though I am sure they get kicked sometimes. Every now and then, it's the fact they favour a ban from a guy who said a little cuss word over the guys who causes all the drama and causes the swears.

Not to be harsh towards you, but no one forced you to choose the words you did. You chose your words, not me, not the guy you say was causing problems.

We favor people who are following rules to people who intentionally attempt to circumvent them or haven't bothered reading them.

If you would like, feel free to request an unban and join us for another round.

Probably not. 2 players average for a week solid leads me to believe that it's just not that interesting.
