Cracking event guys. Really appreciate all the work put in by the guys from ABA to host the guests. Non stop schedule planning and making things go smoothly. Great team effort for everyone assisting with PC and networking issues.

BBQ top rate, and a lot of food was bought and humped around for the feeding of the masses for sure.

I certainly won't forget the image of the CH2 lining up on e-Gor and me from about 200 metres thats a seriously imposing sight even before it starts thundering toward you.

Seeing the scimitar do its thing with its maneuverability was the best bit for me and the time taken by the instructor staff in their own time to put on a professional demonstration. He deserves some of the left over beer for sure.

And nice one devs for your presentation - though the famous Dr_Rank :P did stay up far too late to do the LAN Party presentation video, as well as doing a good impression of the dead walking on Sunday.

(The luxury of 3 hours sleep, being up and washed and in the process of packing up when undies walks into the sleeping room with people who all have had less sleep than me, switches the lights on and says "wakey wakey egg and bakey" and the previously sleeping people looking like death warmed up).

Thanks from Darkpowder and Natala

([R-DEV]Dr_Rank & Darkpowder whoring again)

x2

Highs =

Hearing the CH2 and seeing it do some of its stuff aswell as the Scimitar.
The LAN knife fight @5am was hilarious, can't wait to see footage from that.
The BBQ sorted us all out perfectly, superb.
The collection of tanks at the museum was sweet.

Low =

First 25 mins on Muttrah... That was the closest you guys got to ruining my weekend.

Thanks to all the [ABA] and [R-Dev] guys, you really pulled it off without a hitch. That also goes for eveyone else that played against them with me, pure pwnage.

Good work lads & Lass.

ps: Sorry I didn't come for a drink with you guys this afternoon, we has a few hours of driving ahead of us.

Thankyou to everybody that came along and made it a success, and trust all had a safe journey home.

One of my favourite moments was definately seeing a certain [R-DEV] finish 3rd place in a round, whilst he was actually asleep at the wheel and comatosed in front of his screen, dribbling :)

Thanks to all the ABA lads for having us, you were absolutely great hosts.

It was really good to see all you guys [and girl] that came, putting faces to the names and voices you're so used to reading and hearing proved to be the perfect warm-up for a good night of gaming.

Thanks again all

I echo Darkpowders post, and wish to tank (I made pun!) the guys for a very enjoyable weekend!

I had a lovely time, and did not feel out of place at all, or weird, which is always nice when you are the only girl in a group of 30 in an army base.

The smooth running of what was a very chaotic group of people was impressive; resembling more the ABA guys guiding flocks of wide eyed crazy minded sheep around, admiring the expensive 'toys' on display, from the armoury (I <3 the carbine version of L85, it was small, light and sexy!), to them showing their "RL skillz" with the Tanks.

I will admit that there is few things I can now consider more scary than sitting dead ahead of the Challenger 2, as it stormed right toward us. Though I knew we were perfectly safe, I don't think a single person in its line of fire, didn't feel a shiver go down their spine, as if some sort of metalic dragon was storming toward you. Yeah dragon, that was on my mind at the time. This is what it must be like if there really was dragons, and one came storming toward me. (I am a geek, why I was there, so sue me.)

Then it came to the actual Lan part, I am sure there will be far more detailed accounts of the day and how the gaming session went, so I'll just say this, We pwn, The Devs are noobs (don't ban me!)

Bbq, I swear between us we ate a cow, and a couple of pigs, or at least there was enough meat around to... well... to feed an army! Hah!

It was lovely, and then we gamed, and drank, and noobed, and gamed, and I think I got some sleep, not certain, not sure if anybody is certain they got some sleep, I think I spent at least an hour unconsious on the floor, which is more than many did that night.

Greasy lovely breakfest, the cure of hang overs, sleep deprivation and general morning grumpiness, and then the Tank museem. I love the Tank Museeum, been there many times, (Darkpowder took me there on a surprise visit when we were first dating, his idea of romance, I looked longingly toward the Monkey World sign as we turned the oposit way, but luckily the Tank museem is just too badass to be a disapointment, so it wasn't our last date. DP, can we actually go to Monkey World next time?!) My favorite part or the Tank museeum is the Trenches, and the insane looking WWI Tanks.

And then the pub, and home so we could finally sleep! SLEEP!

I just woke up! Had a great time!

THANK YOU FOR HAVING US AND FOR A MEMORABLE WEEKEND!

Big thanks too to all the lads who gave up their time to show us the equipment etc. Cheers for running that bbq Joey! :-) Had an absolute blast!

Great to meet so many new people too, hopefully catch you all online soon for some pubbing!

Having just woken up again ( no i wasn't actually ment to be playing this time around :D )

i want to say a big thank you to all of the ABA guys and Craig, undies/ whoever made that all happen so smoothly. that was one of the most amazing experiences I've been to, i thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Highs
  • The CR2 and Scimy blasting around were absolutly epic such powerful assets :D
  • A big thanks to Joey for slaving over the BBQ cooking all of that meat it certainly hit the spot
  • The nights gaming was really really good fun however in did feel a little sorry for the other ( non-conditioned ) room :P
  • Falling asleep, waking back up again really scared with 8 lads staring at me like some kind of alien and then finding out i'd finished 3rd in the round lol
  • the Knife Fight at 5AM and the Quake 3 at 6AM was a real blast :)

Lows
  • Leaving the clouds hill pub having had the last bit of Bi mings round as sleep in over 24 hours of being active then driving home with only Dr rank and a redbull as company

I'd really like something like that to happen again, I really enjoyed meeting everyone there especially the [T+T] crew I'd got so used to playing with and i hope everyone posts feedback in the Tad Sae sub forum after we annihilated your arses in a little under 10 mins

Thanks again
[R-DEV] Nick ( Luke? ) bond !

Really good time this weekend, only woke up a few hrs ago, was really good to meet everyone and to see some old faces, and a bunch of complete noobs (ranky, bondy etc :p )

BTW the only reason why the dev and aba team lost is that your evil plan on giving us too much booze worked too well! bondy was flying though all the streets of muttrah thinking he was invincible, till he started getting shot by a 50cal or AA :p

Seeing the CR2 and Scimi rolling around was pretty damn epic, espically when you guys showed us there stopping speed, that scimi is mad, was going like 40, 50mph, and stopped instanly in like 3 meters? really nice to see the lerch up that scimi dose too, just like what we have ingame :D
Seeing the CR2 down the end of the hangers, pointing its turret directly at us made it look like a real killing merchine and you could just imagine it like it was in basrah.

Gaiming was really awesome too, some realy good fights, fun flying around in the cobra and APC whoring with bondy in muttrah :)

Only bad bit was the sleep, which I'm sure really no one really cared about, apart from ranky hardly staying awake :p

Next time I think we should try to do a Friday to Sunday so we get some more time :D

Thanks again to Craig, Undies and all the other ABA guys who made this weekend work! BBQ and everything with top notch! :D

Cheers!
