Re: rear-view...
In which case where would the harm be in restoring the vBF2 rear view? IRL you may not have a camera floating in front of your vehicle, but you can see behind you with mirrors.

Re: rear-view...
Maybe make the new camera on the left of the vodnik to simulate the driver looking down the mirror/ poking his head out the window when you press C?
Done in jets, why not cars?

Re: rear-view...
I think pwn3ge106's (sorry but that's an awful name, hope it's not meant seriously) idea's best, a simple view of a rear view mirror showing a rear view mirror with a blurred surrounding or something like that would be good.
Probably wouldn't be a very high priority, although I'm sure one of the very talented *insert appropriate modding discipline*ers could sort it out pretty quickly.

Don't know if you can do it in the BF2 engine but there's a mod for ARMA where you hit a button and the driver camera switches to a camera looking back from the drivers window.

Why not just the same thing with jets? I dont know how many times I have ran over people standing behind my car.

Re: rear-view...
This would be useful. Some cars in PR don't allow the driver to look backwards from his seat, even if he'd otherwise have a clear view back (such as the Land Rover, iirc). It'd be nice to either expand the limits of mouselook to allow the driver to look behind, or include a "backing-up" view, from near the driver seat, looking backwards, to simulate the driver looking backwards while backing up (something you do in real life in real cars).

Re: rear-view...
I totaly agree. Having a rear view camera position where the mirror is, or just out of the back window if there is one, would make it much easier to use vehicles, especialy in cities.
